About me and my therapy practice

If you're reading this, you may be going through something painful or confusing, or feeling stuck with an issue that won't shift. I want you to know that reaching out is already a meaningful step, and I'm here to help.

My approach is grounded in relational Transactional Analysis, an approach that understands how our early experiences can shape patterns of thought, feeling and behaviour that quietly affect us as adults, in our relationships, our work, and how we relate to ourselves. I place the quality of the relationship between us at the heart of the work itself, because I believe real change happens within a safe, trusting connection.

Together, at a pace that feels right for you, we'll gently notice the patterns that feel stuck or self-defeating, understand where they came from, and become more aware of the emotions and beliefs underneath them. Self-compassion, autonomy and resilience tend to grow naturally from this process.

I offer both short-term work focused on a specific issue, and longer-term, open-ended therapy, depending on what you need. There's no pressure to have it all figured out before we begin.

Practice description

As a UK-trained psychotherapeutic counsellor, I offer therapy for individuals, couples, and polycules. I see clients in person in the Chamonix valley in France, and online internationally, so wherever you are, support is accessible to you.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, identity and life transitions, perinatal distress (including infertility, IVF, pregnancy loss and the postnatal period), and the after-effects of critical incidents. I also have particular experience supporting expatriate and multicultural clients, and professionals working in high-pressure or high-risk environments, so if you feel your situation is unusual or hard to explain to someone new, that's genuinely part of what I understand.

Sessions are available in English and French. If you're bilingual or multilingual, you're welcome to use whichever language feels most natural, or to move between them, as this can itself become part of the therapeutic work.

You don't have to carry this alone. I'm here to listen, without judgement.

My first session

Before anything else, I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute discovery call. This isn't a session in itself, it's simply a chance for us to talk, for you to ask any questions, and for us both to get a sense of whether we feel like a good fit to work together. There's no pressure and nothing you need to prepare.

If we decide to go ahead, sessions are 50 minutes long, and usually held weekly. In our early sessions together, we'll take time to understand what's brought you to therapy, and begin to establish what you'd like to get out of our work together, at whatever pace feels comfortable for you.

There's no right or wrong way to begin. You don't need to know exactly what to say. We'll find our way into it together.
