About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Victoria. I have experience of working with ADHD, AuDHD and autistic clients, and LGBTQIA+ clients, including nonbinary, ace / asexual, aro / aromantic, lesbian, bisexual, gay and queer clients.

I have additional training in working with neurodivergent and neuro-questioning clients, specifically ADHD, Autism and AuDHD. I also have a particular interest in working with disabled people, parents, and those affected by trauma and system-generated trauma.

Whether you're looking to bring about positive change or work through difficult things from the past, I hope to support you to achieve your goals. I offer techniques from person-centred, psychodynamic, gestalt and (optionally) CBT approaches. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted.

My background is in trauma counselling, working with survivors at Trust House Reading, where I have supported clients with a range of issues stemming from their trauma, including relationships, boundaries, negotiating the medical and SEND system and depression and anxiety.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I bring lived experience of neurodivergence and over 20 years’ involvement in education with children, young people and families with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), through my previous work in schools.

I provide a trauma-informed environment in which you can feel accepted and safe, and we can walk together through your journey.

Practice description

My work is guided by what feels important to you, and I look forward to meeting you wherever you are at. I work collaboratively, taking things at your pace and checking in with your individual needs so that you feel comfortable and can gain the most value from our sessions.

Primarily I work relationally, offering a Person Centred approach, providing a grounding and safe space to explore your concerns. As an integrative practitioner I may invite you to explore how elements of your past and present interact and have shaped you and your journey. My blended approach allows us the flexibility to work relationally together, responding to your changing needs and giving you time to be heard and seen.

I work to provide an inclusive space, welcoming to all.

My first session

I offer a FREE 15 minute introductory session, in which you can get to know and experience counselling with me. We can discuss your hopes for therapy and you can see if I am the right fit for you and any accommodations that might help you in our journey.

In our first full session together, we can explore further what brings you to counselling, and how we might work best together. We can talk about anything you want to process from the past, and explore coping techniques for managing day to day..
