About me and my therapy practice
Behind the feelings you can't explain and the patterns you can't seem to change is a story worth understanding.
We all have a story. Our experiences, relationships and the ways we've learned to cope shape who we are and how we experience the world. Sometimes these patterns support us. At other times, they can leave us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected.
I've always felt drawn to people. Listening, connecting and understanding what has shaped them has always come naturally to me. I believe that when we have the opportunity to talk openly about our thoughts and feelings, in a space where we feel truly heard, meaningful change can begin. This belief is at the heart of the way I work as a psychodynamic therapist.
Psychodynamic therapy explores how past experiences and relationships continue to influence how we think, feel and relate today, often without us even realising it. Together, we'll gently explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you make sense of your experiences, understand yourself more deeply and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.
To me, therapy isn't about quick answers or telling you what to do. It's about creating a space where you can speak openly, feel genuinely heard and become curious about your own story. I'll be alongside you as we make sense of your experiences together, at a pace that feels right for you.
Our stories shape us, but they don't have to define us.
Practice description
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, and I have a particular interest in supporting women navigating pregnancy, fertility challenges, miscarriage and motherhood. These experiences can be deeply personal and life-changing, yet many people find themselves carrying them quietly or feeling alone in them.
I'm also interested in working with people exploring questions of identity, belonging, cultural differences and significant life transitions, recognising how these experiences can shape our sense of self and our relationships.
Every person's experience is unique, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Our work will develop around you and what you bring to therapy, within a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where there is room for whatever you may be feeling, including things that are difficult to put into words.
As a ±«ÓãÊÓƵRegistered Member, I work within the ±«ÓãÊÓƵEthical Framework. My practice is supported by regular clinical supervision and an ongoing commitment to professional development.
My first session
Finding the right therapist is an important part of beginning therapy. I offer a free introductory online conversation of up to 30 minutes, giving us the opportunity to get to know one another and see whether working together feels right.
We'll talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you're hoping for, and I'll answer any questions you may have about the way I work.
If we decide to continue, we'll arrange our first 50-minute therapy session, where we can begin exploring your experiences in more depth and think together about what you'd like to gain from therapy.
