About me and my therapy practice

I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults online and in person in Hackney, East London.

I believe therapy works best when it feels genuinely tailored to you. My approach draws on a range of evidence-based methods, which means I adapt how we work depending on what you need, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.

I hold a PhD in developmental psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, alongside clinical training in counselling and psychotherapy from the University of East London. This combination means my work is grounded both in research on how people develop, think, and form relationships, and in hands-on clinical practice with real people navigating real difficulties.

Practice description

The clients I work with seek therapy when they feel stuck in patterns they can't quite shift or go through a change that's harder than expected. I often work with those navigating mental health and neurodivergence diagnoses, clients who feel dissociated and unreal, or have a sense that they do not belong and struggle with forming and maintaining relationships.

Taking an "integrative" approach means that I don't work from a single fixed model. Depending on what someone needs, I draw on psychodynamic, attachment-based, person-centred modalities, sometimes more reflective and exploratory, sometimes more structured, always shaped around the individual rather than a set protocol.

I work with both adults and young people aged 12 and over, from all backgrounds, bringing a developmental lens to everything I do: understanding not just where someone is now, but how they got there, and what's needed to move forward.

We’ll check in regularly about how the work is feeling and what you’d like to focus on. My hope is that over time you’ll develop a clearer sense of yourself, greater resilience, more confidence in your choices, and a stronger feeling of being at home in your own life.

If any of this resonates, I’d warmly encourage you to get in touch.

My first session

In the initial session we will discuss what brought you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you are hoping to get out of the process.

This will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions about how I work, and to establish whether I am the right therapist for you.

This session is 50 minutes and is charged at the standard rate.
