Availability

I currently have some availability for new clients.

I offer face-to-face counselling from my practice in Glasgow city centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with online appointments available on Tuesdays.

Appointments are available during the daytime, with some later appointments also available depending on my diary.

If you are considering counselling but are unsure whether I might be the right therapist for you, I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone call. This gives us a chance to speak briefly about what has brought you to counselling, what you are looking for and whether working together feels right.

About me and my therapy practice

You may appear confident and capable to other people while privately struggling with anxiety, overthinking or a feeling that you are somehow not good enough.

Perhaps you replay conversations afterwards, worry about making the wrong decision, compare yourself with others or find it difficult to switch your mind off. You may understand logically that you are being hard on yourself but find that knowing this doesn’t necessarily change how you feel.

I am a psychodynamic counsellor and I work with anxiety, low self-esteem, self-doubt, perfectionism, imposter feelings and fear of other people’s judgement.

Rather than simply trying to stop anxious thoughts, we can become curious about where they come from and why particular situations affect you so strongly. Often our present-day reactions make more sense when we understand the experiences and relationships that have shaped how we see ourselves.

My approach is warm, thoughtful and collaborative. I won’t tell you what you should do. Instead, I will help you understand yourself more fully so that you can begin to respond to yourself and your life differently.

Practice description

Counselling with me is a space where you don’t need to have everything worked out before you arrive.

People often come to me knowing that something isn’t right but struggling to explain exactly what it is. You might feel anxious, stuck, overly responsible, constantly in your head or frustrated that the same doubts and worries keep returning.

We will talk about what is happening in your life now while also paying attention to patterns that may have developed over time. This might include how you respond to criticism, relationships, uncertainty, achievement or other people’s expectations of you.

I am particularly interested in the gap that can develop between how someone appears on the outside and how they feel about themselves internally.

Psychodynamic counselling can help us understand not only what you are feeling but why. As we begin to recognise patterns and where they may have come from, there can be more room to question old assumptions about yourself and develop greater confidence in your own feelings, decisions and needs.

Sessions last 50 minutes and can be face-to-face in Glasgow city centre or online.

My first session

Starting counselling can feel daunting, particularly if you are anxious or tend to overthink things. There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what to say.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. I will invite you to tell me what has brought you to counselling and what you would like some help with, but we can take this at a pace that feels manageable.

I may ask about what is happening in your life now as well as some of your earlier experiences and important relationships. There is no pressure to disclose anything before you feel ready.

It is also an opportunity for you to experience what it is like talking with me. The relationship between therapist and client is an important part of counselling, so it matters that you feel comfortable enough for us to work together.

Before arranging a first session, I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone call where we can briefly discuss what you are looking for and you can ask me any questions about counselling or how I work.

Current Availability

I currently have limited availability for new clients seeking support with relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-esteem and repeating relationship patterns.

I offer face-to-face counselling in Glasgow as well as online counselling across the UK.

Face-to-face appointments are available on Mondays and Thursdays, with additional Wednesday availability from October 2026. Online appointments are available on Tuesdays, with some additional daytime appointments during the week.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory call before your first session. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.

Please feel free to get in touch to arrange an introductory call or ask about current availability.

About me and my therapy practice

Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, struggling with boundaries, fearing rejection or feeling drawn to people who leave you feeling hurt or uncertain? Many people come to therapy knowing something keeps repeating but not fully understanding why.

I work with adults experiencing relationship difficulties, anxiety, low self-esteem and patterns that can leave them questioning themselves or feeling stuck. You may find yourself worrying about what other people think, putting their needs before your own, finding it difficult to say no, or becoming anxious when someone feels distant or unavailable.

Using a psychodynamic approach, we explore how earlier relationships and experiences may still be influencing how you relate to yourself and others today. Together, we can become curious about the patterns that continue to show up, where they may have developed and what may be keeping them going.

Therapy isn’t about me telling you what you should do or who you should be with. Instead, it offers a space to understand more about what happens for you in relationships, including feelings, fears and expectations that may be difficult to recognise when you are caught up in them.

As these patterns become clearer, you may begin to understand yourself differently and have greater choice in how you respond to others, set boundaries and approach relationships.

Practice description

Relationships can affect how we feel about ourselves in powerful ways. Difficulties with a partner, family member or someone from your past can leave you feeling anxious, rejected, angry, confused or unsure of yourself. Sometimes a relationship may have ended, yet the feelings and questions it left behind remain.

You may also notice that similar difficulties seem to follow you from one relationship to another. Perhaps you find yourself trying hard to keep other people happy, struggling to express what you need, becoming anxious when someone pulls away, or staying in situations that leave you feeling unhappy or uncertain.

My approach is thoughtful and exploratory. I won’t tell you what you should do or who you should be with. Instead, we can look together at what happens for you in relationships, including the feelings and reactions that can be difficult to understand when you are caught up in them.

Sometimes this means exploring earlier relationships and experiences and considering how they may have shaped what you have come to expect from other people, as well as what you expect from yourself.

I offer 50-minute sessions face-to-face in Glasgow and online across the UK. Therapy provides a confidential and consistent space where these patterns can gradually become clearer, helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and greater choice in how you relate to others.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you have never had counselling before. My aim is to make the first session feel welcoming and straightforward, whether we meet face-to-face in Glasgow or online.

The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to be different in your life. You do not need to prepare anything beforehand or know exactly what to say. We simply begin wherever feels right for you.

I may ask some questions about your current situation, important relationships and relevant life experiences to help me understand what is going on for you. If relationship difficulties have brought you to therapy, we might begin to think about what has been happening, how it has affected you and whether there are patterns you would like to understand more clearly.

There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. We work at your pace and focus on what feels important to you.

The first session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at my standard fee of £65.

Next Steps

If you find yourself struggling in relationships or repeating patterns that leave you feeling hurt, frustrated or stuck, please feel free to get in touch to arrange an introductory call.

About me and my therapy practice

Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, struggling with boundaries, fearing rejection or feeling drawn to people who leave you feeling hurt or uncertain? Many people come to therapy knowing something keeps repeating but not fully understanding why.

I work with adults experiencing relationship difficulties, attachment issues, anxiety, low self-esteem and recurring patterns in their personal lives. I also work with adults who are diagnosed with ADHD, awaiting assessment, or exploring whether they may be neurodivergent. Together we can explore how these experiences may affect your relationships, confidence, emotional wellbeing and everyday life.

Using a psychodynamic approach, we explore how earlier relationships and experiences may still be influencing how you relate to yourself and others today. Together we look at the patterns that continue to show up, where they may have developed, and whether they are still serving you.

Many clients find that therapy helps them understand themselves more clearly, relate to themselves with greater compassion, improve their relationships and make choices that feel healthier, more confident and more fulfilling. I also offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions and decide whether working together feels like the right fit.

Practice description

Relationship difficulties are often about more than the relationship itself. They can involve self-esteem, anxiety, trust, boundaries, fear of abandonment, people pleasing or a persistent feeling of not being valued.

Many of the people I work with find themselves asking similar questions: Why do I keep ending up in the same situations? Why do I struggle to say no? Why do I stay in relationships that make me unhappy? Why do I feel so affected by rejection?

Therapy provides a space to step back and understand the patterns behind these experiences. Rather than focusing only on current problems, psychodynamic therapy explores the deeper influences that may be shaping how you relate to others.

As understanding grows, many people find they become more confident in their relationships, better able to set boundaries and less likely to repeat patterns that leave them feeling stuck or dissatisfied.

I offer one-to-one therapy online across the UK and in person in Glasgow West End.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel daunting, particularly when relationship difficulties are involved. You may feel confused, hurt, frustrated or unsure whether you are overreacting to what has happened.

The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and how your relationships may be affecting your wellbeing. There is no pressure to have everything worked out or know exactly what you want to say.

We work at your pace and focus on what feels important to you. The first session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at my standard fee of £55.

I work with adults wanting to understand how earlier experiences, family relationships or difficult events may still be affecting their lives today.

You do not need to know exactly what you want to talk about before getting in touch. I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone call where we can briefly discuss what has brought you to counselling and whether working together feels right.

About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes the past continues to affect us even when we believe we should have moved on from it.

You may notice the same difficulties appearing repeatedly in relationships, feel responsible for everybody else, struggle with criticism or rejection, find it difficult to trust people or have a persistent sense that something is wrong with you.

Not everyone who comes to therapy thinks of themselves as having experienced trauma. Sometimes it is only through talking that we begin to recognise how experiences within our family, childhood or important relationships shaped the ways we learned to cope.

I work psychodynamically, which means I am interested in the connections between your past and what is happening emotionally in your life now.

Together we can become curious about patterns rather than judging them. Behaviours that now cause difficulties often developed for understandable reasons and may once have helped us manage relationships or situations we couldn’t control.

Understanding this can allow something different to emerge: greater compassion towards yourself, more choice in how you respond and less need to keep repeating patterns that no longer serve you.

Practice description

People often come to counselling because something happening now has become difficult to manage, but as we talk we may begin to notice that the feelings themselves are familiar.

Perhaps you repeatedly find yourself trying to please people, fearing abandonment, avoiding conflict, taking responsibility for everyone around you or becoming involved in relationships where your own needs disappear.

You may also carry shame, anger or sadness that is difficult to explain.

My role isn’t to analyse you from a distance or tell you that everything comes from childhood. We will explore together what feels important and make connections where they are useful.

Psychodynamic counselling gives us the opportunity to understand how earlier relationships and experiences may have influenced the expectations you carry into adult life – including what you expect from other people and what you believe they expect from you.

The aim isn’t to change the past. It is to understand its influence well enough that it doesn’t have to keep determining the present.

I offer 50-minute sessions face-to-face from my Glasgow city centre practice and online.

My first session

Our first session is a chance for you to begin telling me about what has brought you to counselling and for us to start thinking together about what may be helpful.

You don’t need to tell me your entire life story in the first meeting. If there are painful or traumatic experiences in your past, I won’t expect you to describe them in detail before you feel ready.

We might talk about what is happening in your life currently, the difficulties you are experiencing and some of the relationships or experiences that have been important in shaping you.

I will also be interested in what you hope might be different as a result of counselling.

There is no assessment that you need to pass and there is no right way to be in therapy. You can ask questions, take your time and see how it feels to talk with me.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone call before booking a first session. This gives us an opportunity to speak briefly and for you to decide whether you would like to arrange an appointment.

I work with adults who have ADHD, suspect they may have ADHD, or simply recognise difficulties with overwhelm, concentration, procrastination, emotional intensity or burnout. You do not need a diagnosis to come to counselling.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone call before arranging a first session. This gives us an opportunity to talk briefly about what you are experiencing and whether the way I work might suit you.

About me and my therapy practice

Living with ADHD or ADHD-type difficulties can affect much more than concentration.

You may have spent years wondering why things that seem straightforward for other people can feel so difficult for you. Perhaps you procrastinate until pressure becomes overwhelming, become intensely focused on some things but struggle to begin others, or feel exhausted from constantly trying to keep everything together.

For some people there is also a long history of being described as lazy, disorganised, too sensitive or not living up to their potential. Over time, those messages can become part of how you see yourself.

I work psychodynamically, which means we can explore both what you are experiencing now and the emotional history underneath it.

Counselling isn’t about trying to make you more organised or telling you how you should manage your life. We can look at the impact these experiences have had on your confidence, relationships and sense of self, including shame, perfectionism, rejection sensitivity, anxiety and burnout.

I work with diagnosed ADHD as well as people questioning whether ADHD may be relevant to their experience. I do not provide ADHD assessments or diagnoses.

Practice description

My practice offers a space where you don’t have to mask, perform or apologise for how your mind works.

You may have developed ways of coping that have helped you achieve a great deal while leaving you exhausted underneath. Perhaps you rely on pressure to get things done, struggle to rest without feeling guilty, move between intense productivity and burnout, or criticise yourself when you can’t maintain the standards you expect.

We can explore these experiences without reducing everything about you to ADHD.

My psychodynamic approach is interested in the whole person. Alongside present-day difficulties, we may explore your childhood, family relationships, experiences at school or work, expectations placed upon you and the ways you learned to gain approval or avoid criticism.

For people diagnosed later in life, counselling can also provide space to make sense of the past differently. Experiences previously understood as personal failures can sometimes look very different when viewed with greater understanding.

Sessions last 50 minutes. I offer face-to-face counselling in Glasgow city centre and online counselling.

My first session

You don’t need to arrive at the first session with a clear explanation of what is happening.

You may already have an ADHD diagnosis, be waiting for an assessment, be wondering whether ADHD applies to you, or simply want help with difficulties such as anxiety, overwhelm, procrastination, burnout or self-esteem.

Our first session gives us time to begin understanding what life has been like for you and what you would like from counselling. I may ask about your current circumstances as well as earlier experiences, relationships, school, work and the ways you have learned to cope.

There is no test to pass and you don’t need to convince me that your difficulties are real.

I am a counsellor rather than an ADHD assessor, so I don’t diagnose ADHD. Our work is about understanding you and the emotional impact of your experiences.

Before arranging a first session, I offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone call so that we can speak briefly and you can decide whether you would feel comfortable working with me.

About me and my therapy practice

You may appear to be coping well on the outside but privately struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, low self-esteem or being particularly hard on yourself. Perhaps you put pressure on yourself to get things right, worry about what others think of you, or feel stuck and unsure why the same difficulties keep showing up in different areas of your life.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, self-criticism, relationship difficulties, low confidence and the emotional impact of earlier life experiences. I also support adults who are diagnosed with ADHD, awaiting assessment, or beginning to explore whether they may be neurodivergent. Many describe feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood or constantly questioning themselves.

I believe that many of our present difficulties have roots in earlier experiences and relationships. Ways of coping, protecting ourselves or gaining acceptance that once made sense can continue to influence how we think, feel and relate to others long after they developed.

Using a psychodynamic approach, we can explore these patterns together and become curious about where they may have come from and what may be keeping them going. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, therapy can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the experiences that have shaped you.

As this understanding grows, it can become possible to feel less controlled by old ways of thinking and relating, respond to yourself with greater understanding and have more choice in how you approach relationships, work and everyday life.

You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong or know exactly what you want from therapy. Sometimes simply knowing that something doesn’t feel right is enough of a place for us to begin.

Practice description

Therapy with me is conversational and exploratory. You don’t need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong or know exactly what you want to talk about. We can begin with whatever feels most important to you and take time to understand what may be happening beneath the surface.

I tend to be actively engaged in the conversation. I will listen carefully, ask questions and sometimes draw attention to patterns or connections that we might explore together. I won’t tell you what you should do or expect you to follow a particular agenda.

Some sessions may focus on something happening in your life right now, while others may lead us towards earlier experiences, important relationships or ways of seeing yourself that have developed over time. We can be curious about how the past and present connect without assuming that everything has to be explained by your childhood.

There is also room for uncertainty. Sometimes people come to therapy knowing that something doesn’t feel right but finding it difficult to put that feeling into words. Part of our work can be making sense of that together.

Over time, the aim is not simply to understand where your difficulties came from, but to help you recognise patterns as they happen and have greater freedom in how you respond to yourself, other people and the situations you face.

I offer 50-minute sessions face-to-face in Glasgow’s West End and online across the UK.
