Practice description
If you’ve been feeling worn out by anxiety, tangled in constant overthinking, or quietly trying to hold everything together even when it feels heavy, you’re truly not alone. So many people move through the world looking capable while feeling stretched, tired, or unsure how much longer they can keep going. I support people navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and ADHD by offering a space filled with compassion, warmth, and no judgement. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been weighing on your mind so you can feel seen, supported, and a little less alone.
I’m a qualified cognitive behavioural therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting adults with anxiety, stress, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. Alongside private practice, I work as a university counsellor, which has shown me just how much pressure people quietly carry. My lived experience of anxiety and stress is also part of why I do this work.
You don’t have to keep navigating this on your own or waiting until things reach breaking point. With the right support, it’s absolutely possible to feel calmer, clearer, and more in control of your life again. If you’re ready to explore this, I’d love to support you. To arrange a free 15-minute online consultation, please just get in touch.
My first session
Before booking your first therapy session, I offer a free 15-minute online consultation. This is a relaxed opportunity to say hello, briefly discuss what you’re looking for, ask any questions you may have, and get a sense of whether I might be the right therapist for you. There is no obligation to book further sessions.
Your first full session is a gentle and supportive assessment designed to help me understand what you are experiencing and how I can best support you. I will ask about what has brought you to therapy, how things are affecting you, and what you would like to be different.
I may also ask you to complete some brief questionnaires. These are not tests, and there are no right or wrong answers. They simply help us build a clearer picture of how you have been feeling and provide a helpful starting point for our work together.
You do not need to prepare anything in advance or know exactly what to say. We can take things at your pace, and you can ask questions or let me know if something feels difficult to discuss.
The assessment is a collaborative process, not an examination or judgement. My aim is for you to feel listened to, understood and comfortable, while making sure CBT is appropriate for your needs.
At the end of the session, we can agree some initial goals and discuss what ongoing therapy might look like and what may be most helpful for you.
