About me and my therapy practice
My work is relational and psychodynamic, and I’m interested in how earlier experiences continue to shape how you relate to yourself, others and the world around you. Some patterns have helped us adapt and cope, while others can begin to feel restrictive, leaving us disconnected, self-critical or conflicted. I’m interested in what these patterns might have to tell us.
I’m curious about the inner world and the things that can sit beneath the surface of everyday life. I pay attention to repeated themes, emotional shifts and what may emerge between us, recognising that these experiences can offer insight into how we relate both within and outside the therapy room.
I value collaborative work and the possibility of developing greater understanding without losing sight of your own agency.
Practice description
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a clear difficulty; at other times there is simply a feeling that something no longer sits quite as it once did. You might find yourself feeling stuck in familiar patterns, struggling in relationships, or carrying emotions that are difficult to make sense of on your own.
I offer a thoughtful and collaborative space where we can explore these experiences together. I aim to offer a space that is free from shame, where there is room to be curious about whatever you bring.
My practice is informed by an awareness of culture, identity and representation, shaped in part by my own African heritage. I recognise how race, faith, belonging and intergenerational experiences can influence emotional life and relationships. I welcome these conversations into therapy and remain curious about how both similarities and differences between us may become meaningful within the therapeutic relationship.
My experience includes working with shame, identity and belonging, anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties and life transitions. Whatever brings you to therapy, there is room to explore it and see what becomes possible from there.
I work with adults, offering in-person and online sessions.
