Availability
I currently have availability for new clients and offer both short-term and longer-term counselling. Sessions are available Monday to Thursday, with flexible daytime and limited evening slots. My typical working hours are between 9:00am and 6:00pm. I offer in-person sessions within the Bridgend area as well as online sessions via Zoom.
I work with adults (18+) and welcome enquiries from individuals seeking support with a range of issues including anxiety, low mood, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem, and relational challenges. My practice integrates person-centred and experiential therapy with trauma-informed and body-aware approaches, tailored to each individual.
I aim to respond to all initial enquiries within 48 hours. If I am unavailable—for example, during annual leave—I will update this notice and set an automated email response.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange a free initial consultation to explore whether working together feels right for you.
About me and my therapy practice
I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can be heard without judgment and at your own pace. My approach is rooted in Person-Centred Experiential Therapy, which means I work relationally—gently supporting you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, trusting that you are the expert of your own life.
My practice is also trauma-informed and body-aware. I am sensitive to how past experiences can show up in the body as tension, withdrawal, or disconnection. I may integrate grounding techniques, breath awareness, or gentle somatic reflection where appropriate, always with your consent.
Alongside my counselling training, I bring experience as a yoga therapist, and sometimes offer therapeutic movement or mindfulness-based tools to support regulation and reconnection. This can be particularly helpful if you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or out of touch with yourself.
Clients have described my presence as calm, down-to-earth, and attuned. I work with adults (18+) and support a wide range of issues including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, grief, identity, relational difficulties, and trauma.
Whether you’re coming to therapy for the first time or returning to it, I’ll meet you where you are—with care, respect, and trust in the process of healing and growth.
Practice description
My counselling practice offers a welcoming, gentle space where you can explore what matters to you, at your own pace. I work in a relational, person-centred way—this means I place emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and your lived experience. You are met with empathy, care, and deep respect, without pressure or judgment.
Sessions are 50 minutes and typically held weekly, though I offer some flexibility depending on your needs. I work with adults (18+) both in-person in the Bridgend area and online. My approach can support a wide range of issues including anxiety, low self-worth, grief, overwhelm, life transitions, and trauma.
I also bring a body-aware, trauma-informed lens to my work. If helpful, we may gently explore how your emotions or experiences show up in your body—this might include grounding practices, mindful noticing, or simply creating a sense of safety and presence. I sometimes integrate my background in yoga therapy to support reconnection and emotional regulation, where appropriate.
You don’t need to have all the words or a clear goal to start therapy. What matters is your willingness to show up for yourself, and I’ll be alongside you in that. I aim to create a steady and supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and safe enough to be real—however that looks for you.
My first session
Our first full session will last 50 minutes and is charged at my standard rate. In this session, we’ll gently explore what’s bringing you to therapy, what support might look like for you, and whether you’d like to work short-term or longer-term. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—you’re welcome just as you are.
I take a person-centred approach, so I won’t ask you to complete lengthy assessments. Instead, I’ll be listening closely to what feels important to you, and together we’ll shape the focus of our work. If you’re unsure, that’s completely okay—therapy often begins with simply noticing what’s present.
If you’re interested in a more body-aware or integrative approach, such as incorporating grounding, breathwork or mindful movement, we can discuss this together to see what feels appropriate and supportive.
I’ll also explain how confidentiality works, how I manage session times, cancellations, and practical details such as payment and availability.
My aim is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and empowered to begin your therapeutic journey at a pace that feels right for you.
