About me and my therapy practice
Finding the right therapist can be challenging, especially when you're unsure of what you need. I believe that the key to successful therapy lies in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to be genuine and warm, creating a meaningful space for our sessions together.
I am a Polyvagal informed therapist - when working with trauma, anxiety or depression, we can identify how your nervous system is responding. We can work to process and heal through a combination of therapeutic interventions, mindfulness and recognition of your physiological and biological responses. Combining psychological theory with scientific methods.
If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed by your own thoughts, I offer a compassionate approach to help guide you back on track. Whether you're struggling with life goals or past traumas, I am here to help you navigate your emotions and desires in a friendly and supportive environment.
Facing your fears and addressing your troubles can be daunting, but I am here to support you every step of the way as you take those first brave steps towards healing.
Whether you are dealing with depression, anxiety, working through challenging relationship difficulties, addiction, or past trauma - my therapy service offers a secure, caring, and completely private environment to work together.
My therapy provides a safe space to discuss emotions and, via therapeutic methods and intervention, identify a new way forward.
Many people go through periods of feeling ‘stuck’ in life - Therapy can offer a new perspective, developing deeper self awareness and clarity.
Practice description
I work from a person-centred approach, which means I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard, understood, and accepted — just as you are. I’ll walk alongside you with compassion and curiosity as you explore what matters most to you.
Many of the people I work with are navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, and identity-related struggles. I also have experience supporting individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, and I offer a space where your identity and lived experience will be respected and affirmed. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — from yourself or from others — we can explore that together at your own pace.
In our work, I offer genuine presence, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. My intention is to help you reconnect with your own voice, needs, and values — especially if those things have been buried under fear, shame, or the need to please others. Over time, this process can support healing, self-acceptance, and the confidence to move toward the life you want.
Whether you’re facing a specific issue or simply looking for space to reflect and grow, I’m here to hold that space with you — gently, respectfully, and without judgment.
My first session
Your first session is a gentle beginning — a chance for us to get to know one another in a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncertain or even intimidating, so I’ll take things at your pace, ensuring you feel safe, heard, and in control of the process from the very start.
I work from a person-centred approach, which means I’ll meet you with empathy, openness, and deep respect for your individual experience. This is not a space where you’ll be analysed or judged, but rather one where you can explore what’s going on for you — your thoughts, feelings, or struggles — in a way that feels right for you. My role is to support your self-discovery and healing, not to direct it. I trust that when you’re truly heard and accepted, meaningful change can happen from within.
In the first session, we’ll spend some time talking about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. You don’t need to have all the answers — we can explore this together. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, past trauma, identity questions, relationship issues, or just a general sense of being overwhelmed, we’ll begin to gently identify what matters to you and the goals you’d like to work toward.
Everything you share with me is held in complete confidence. I place great importance on creating a space where you can speak freely and honestly. Open communication is a key part of our work together, and you’re always welcome to express how you’re feeling about the process itself — your comfort, your pace, or any concerns that may arise.
Ultimately, the first session is the beginning of a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect — a foundation from which you can begin to reconnect with yourself and move toward the life you want to live.
