About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Vix, an Individual and Couples Relationship Counsellor.
I am Relate trained with a Diploma in Relationship Counselling. I am currently working towards an MA in Therapeutic Counselling, Psychotherapy and Supervision.
I have wide experience of working with a diverse range of individuals and couples, from those in crisis, to those exploring a new chapter in life. I offer a safe, non-judgemental, empathic and confidential space where you can reflect on the relationships you wish to explore. I work inclusively and offer relationship counselling to all, whether you are married, living together, on your own, LGBTQIA+ or non-monogamous. My role is to support and strengthen your relationship. I work with a broad range of problems including communication difficulties, divorce, affairs, grief, issues of trust and self-esteem. These difficulties might reflect the wider family, cultural differences or changes in the relationship such as illness, retirement or a new baby.
As a Integrative Counsellor, I combine Systemic, Psychodynamic and Person-Centred Theories to offer you a warm, friendly, safe and confidential place for you to talk and feel heard. I will support you in your journey wherever you are at. The relationship we build will be integral to the success of the therapeutic process.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Relationship Counsellor for Relate Avon, which is part of the UK's largest provider of relationship counselling and sex therapy.
Practice description
I work from my beautiful (newly built) garden room in central Bath, with free on-site parking available. I also work online.
When you contact me, I will respond within 48 hours to arrange an Initial Assessment, this will be either face to face or on Teams.
Payment for the Initial Assessment must be received within 48 hours before your appointment.
My first session
When you contact me, I will schedule an Initial Assessment. This costs £60 and lasts for 50 minutes.
I require that you complete a Client Counsellor Contract form and a signed Confidentiality Statement and Data Protection form before attending the Initial Assessment. At the end of the assessment, I will discuss the most suitable therapy provision and how I can best help and support you.
If ongoing sessions are offered, this is charged as a set fee of £60 for individuals or £80 for couples. Ongoing sessions will last for 50 minutes and will take place at the same scheduled day and time each week.
