Availability
I currently have space for new clients and offer a free 20-minute consultation to help you get a feel for how I work and see if this feels like the right space for you.
I work with individuals and couples, usually weekly or fortnightly, and sessions are available online or in person from my practice in Ancoats, Manchester.
My usual hours are Monday to Saturday, daytime and some early evenings.
If I鈥檓 ever away for longer than usual, for example on holiday, I鈥檒l let you know in advance and we鈥檒l plan around it together.
If you鈥檙e not sure about my current availability or want to talk through what might work for you, you鈥檙e welcome to get in touch and we can figure it out together.
About me and my therapy practice
My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative, which means we go at your pace and focus on what feels most important to you.
I offer a quiet, supportive space where you can talk about what鈥檚 really going on. No pressure, no performance. Together, we鈥檒l start to untangle what feels heavy or stuck and gently notice what鈥檚 happening underneath.
I work with individuals and couples, and people come to me for all kinds of reasons: anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, identity questions, burnout, or just that quiet sense that something isn鈥檛 right.
I see therapy as a conversation, one where you can show up exactly as you are. I鈥檒l ask thoughtful questions, reflect things back, and help you notice patterns you might not have seen before. But I won鈥檛 sit in silence while you try to guess what I鈥檓 thinking, and I won鈥檛 tell you who you 鈥渟hould鈥 be.
Some people want to understand the deeper roots of what they鈥檙e carrying. Others just want to feel steadier day-to-day. There鈥檚 space for both.
We start where you are.
Practice description
Beneath the Noise is about creating a quiet, supportive space where you can finally hear yourself again; beneath the anxiety, the overthinking, and the pressure to hold it all together.
Life can feel heavy, especially when you鈥檝e been carrying more than your share. Maybe it鈥檚 anxiety that won鈥檛 let up, grief you haven鈥檛 quite named, old trauma that still lingers, or a sense of being stuck in patterns you don鈥檛 fully understand.
You don鈥檛 need to have all the answers, or even the right words. You just need somewhere to start.
I work with individuals and couples, offering therapy that meets you where you are. Whether you鈥檙e navigating something big or just feeling like you can鈥檛 quite find yourself.
My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and collaborative. That means you can expect empathy, honesty, and respect. I鈥檒l reflect things back to you, help you notice patterns, and walk alongside you, but I won鈥檛 tell you who to be or how to feel.
I believe therapy works best when it feels like an honest, human conversation, somewhere you can show up exactly as you are, even if you don鈥檛 feel ready, even if you don鈥檛 feel okay.
We鈥檒l figure it out together, at your pace.
My first session
Before we begin, I offer a free 20-minute online consultation. It鈥檚 just a chance to meet, talk through what you鈥檙e hoping for, and see if this feels like the right space for you.
During the consultation, I鈥檒l ask a few gentle questions to get a sense of what鈥檚 bringing you here and what you鈥檇 like support with. You can share as much or as little as you feel ready to, there鈥檚 no need to explain it perfectly.
You鈥檙e also welcome to ask me anything about how I work or what to expect.
If you decide to continue, we鈥檒l agree on a regular session time and I鈥檒l send you a simple client agreement to look over before we start. Ongoing sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels right for you, and last 50 minutes for individuals or 60 minutes for couples.
There鈥檚 no formal assessment to complete before starting, unless you already have something you鈥檇 like to share. We start where you are.
