I currently offer online therapy sessions on Thursdays and Fridays. I have some flexibility within these days, and we can discuss a time that works for you when you get in touch.

I also offer a free 15-minute introductory call to explore what you’re looking for and whether I might be the right therapist for you.

About me and my therapy practice

You may be used to coping, achieving and taking care of others, while quietly feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck or disconnected underneath. Perhaps life looks fine from the outside, but you no longer feel quite like yourself. You might be navigating a relationship, life transition, questions about who you are or what you want, or simply wondering whether there could be a different way of living.

I’m Elin, a Swedish integrative counsellor offering a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space to make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface. I believe therapy can be a place to put down some of the expectations you carry and reconnect with what you actually need.

I’m particularly interested in the connection between our past experiences, relationships and the way we see ourselves today. Having grown up in Sweden and lived across different cultures, I’m sensitive to how culture, family expectations, identity and belonging can shape our experiences and choices. I also welcome neurodivergent clients, including people with ADHD and autism.

My approach is integrative and tailored to you, drawing from person-centred, attachment, psychodynamic, Gestalt and CBT approaches. I combine deeper exploration with a practical focus on what might help you feel differently in your everyday life.

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you need. We can start where you are, make sense of it together, and work towards feeling more balanced, connected and able to live in a way that feels more like your own.

Practice description

I see the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of our work. I offer a space where you can slow down, feel heard and explore what is happening without judgement.

I work integratively, drawing from person-centred, attachment, psychodynamic, Gestalt and CBT approaches. Rather than following one model, I adapt our work to you, your circumstances and what feels most useful.

Together, we may explore experiences from the past and how they continue to shape your relationships, emotions and sense of self. We may also focus on what is happening in your life now and what you want to be different.

I believe insight and change go hand in hand. Understanding where a pattern comes from can be powerful, but so is finding new ways of responding, relating and making choices.

Some sessions may be reflective and exploratory; others may have a more practical focus. You don't need to arrive with a clear goal or know exactly what you want to talk about. We can start where you are and work it out together.

My aim is for therapy to help you feel more connected to yourself, clearer about what you need and more able to make choices that feel true to you.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, particularly if you are used to managing things yourself.

Our first session is a chance to slow down and begin to understand what has brought you here. You might know exactly what you want to talk about, or you might simply know that something doesn't feel right. Either is completely okay.

I’ll be curious about what you’re experiencing, what you would like to be different and what you feel you need support with. We’ll also begin to get a sense of how it feels to work together — the therapeutic relationship matters to me, and finding the right therapist is important.

There is no expectation to tell me everything straight away or to have a clear plan. We can take it at your pace and start wherever feels comfortable.
