About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Tina, a qualified Therapeutic Counsellor specialising in supporting individuals experiencing grief, trauma, loss, depression, and anxiety. I offer a calm and understanding space where you can explore your emotions safely and at your own pace.
Having personally experienced the deep impact of grief and the healing power of counselling, I understand how overwhelming life can sometimes feel. This lived experience allows me to bring genuine empathy, compassion, and understanding to my work with clients.
Practice description
I provide person-centred counselling and psychotherapy to individuals aged 16 and above, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore personal challenges. My practice focuses on supporting clients dealing with issues such as loss, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, and self-esteem concerns.
Sessions typically last 50 minutes and are offered on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis, either face-to-face or online, depending on client preference. I work collaboratively with clients to understand their unique experiences and to facilitate personal growth and emotional well-being.
Ethical practice is central to my work; I adhere strictly to the ±«ÓãÊÓƵEthical Framework, maintaining client confidentiality, informed consent, and professional boundaries at all times. I undertake regular supervision and continuing professional development to enhance my skills and ensure the highest standard of care.
My first session
Free 15 Minute Introductory Session
I offer a free 15 minutes introductory session to give you the oppotunity to find out more about counselling and how our sessions would work.
This initial conversation provides a safe and informal space for you to beiefly talk about the challenges you are currently experiencing, what has brought you to counselling, and what you would hope to gain from our work together.
It is completely understandable to feel nervous or unsure about starting counselling. You may have questions about the process, what to expect, or whether counselling could help you. The introductory session gives you the oppotunity to ask questions and gain a clearer understanding of how I work.
An important part of counselling is developing a safe, trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. The introductory session allows us both to consider whether we feel comfortable working together and whether I am the right counsellor for your individual needs.
There is no obligation to book futher sessions following the introductory conversation. It is simply an oppotunity for us to talk, and decide whether counselling with me feels right.
If you feel ready ti take the first step. I would be very happy to hear from you and arrabge your free 15-minute introductory session.
