About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Zoe.
I’m an integrative therapist offering a space that is steady, reflective and unhurried, where you can begin to make sense of what feels difficult, confusing or too much to hold alone.
You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or stuck, struggling with relationships, or going through a difficult period of change. Sometimes it can be hard to understand why we think, feel or respond in the ways we do. Talking therapy offers the time and space to slow things down and begin to look at what might be going on underneath.
I’m deeply interested in how people relate to themselves, others and the world, and how early experiences can shape patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviour in the present. Much of my work focuses on making these patterns more understandable, so they feel less automatic and more open to reflection and choice.
I became a therapist because I know from personal experience how valuable it is to have space to think, talk openly and be heard by someone outside of everyday life. I aim to offer that same space to my clients, with curiosity and without judgement.
Qualifications: I am fully qualified and hold a Level 4 Post Grad Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative Pathway).
Practice description
Before starting private practice, I worked within community counselling services in Greenwich and Lewisham. I have experience supporting clients through a range of difficulties and life experiences, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, low self-esteem, trauma, loss, identity exploration, neurodiversity, and the emotional impact of physical health conditions.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in compassionate curiosity. Rather than seeing thoughts, emotions or patterns as things to just fix, we can explore them together with care and attention, often discovering that what once felt frustrating or confusing can begin to make more sense when understood in context.
As an integrative therapist, I draw from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches. I work in a way that is guided by your needs and what feels most helpful. Some sessions may feel more reflective and exploratory, while others may focus on practical support and exercises.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute initial conversation. This is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask any questions and get a sense of whether we might work well together. This will usually take place online, even if you are considering face-to-face therapy.
If we work together, your first session will give us more time to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. We can think together about what feels important and where you would like to begin.
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. Weekly or fortnightly sessions are available; session frequency is something we can discuss and agree together.
Future sessions will often be guided by you and what feels most present or meaningful at the time. Alongside this, I will reflect on what we discuss and may bring attention to patterns, themes or areas that feel important to explore further.
