My work blends psychological depth, tracing the root cause of your distress alongside explorations of purpose and meaning. The goal isn't just to solve the presenting issues but to help you become more whole - connecting your everyday self with your deeper potential.
Drawing on almost 15 years of leadership experience, I bring a distinctive perspective to my therapeutic practice. I specialised in learning and development, coaching individuals and teams across all levels. I led organisational wellbeing strategies, consulted wellbeing businesses and developed my own coaching programme. I gained invaluable clinical experience working within the NHS, counseling a diverse range of patients. I am also a Gallup certified Clifton Strenghts Coach, helping people develop their talents and optimise their accomplishments. I obtained my counselling qualification at The Psychosynthesis Trust, my modality is psychosynthesis.

My first session
Once we make contact, we'll arrange an initial 20-minute call - the first step in our potential work together. This initial conversation provides a space for us to connect, where you can share what brings you to therapy and explore any questions about my approach or the therapeutic process.
This first meeting helps us both determine if we're a good fit for working together.
If we choose to work together, we'll establish a clear therapeutic agreement. This includes confidentiality terms, our agreed schedule and cancelation policy. We typically begin with an initial timeframe of 8 weeks, giving us both a natural point to review our work together.
After our initial 8 weeks, you can choose to conclude therapy or continue on an open-ended basis, depending on your needs and progress.

I am Ioana, a qualified therapist trained at the Psychosynthesis Trust. What makes psychosynthesis distinct from other modalities is how it blends psychological work with explorations of purpose and meaning. The goal isn't just to solve the presenting issues but to help you become more whole - address psychological trauma and connect your everyday self with your deeper potential.
Through my own journey in therapy, I've discovered that transformation takes root precisely in those uncomfortable spaces we most want to avoid. When we learn to sit with and befriend our pain, shame, and fear rather than pushing them away, these seemingly dark corners often reveal themselves as incredible opportunities for growth. This philosophy guides my work as a therapist, helping others discover that what feels most alienating about themselves is, paradoxically, what connects them most deeply to our shared human experience.
