About me and my therapy practice
Hi, you may scrolling these pages because you’re overwhelmed, feeling stuck, unsure, anxious, or your world has stopped spinning whilst everyone else carries on…..
You may be trying to navigate grief, a pain from loss that no-one else understands. Our grief may never leave, but therapy may help find peace and a place to keep it.
You may have lost someone through; illness, death, pregnancy and baby loss, suicide, divorce, ending relationships or friendships. Unseen losses others may not know about, that hit hard......... Why didn't I do more? I feel anger, guilt or shame. What else could I have done? Are my feelings 'normal'?
You may feel a loss of your ‘self’ through; health challenges, menopause, redundancy, divorce & relationship breakdowns, financial or career challenges, caring responsibilities, anxiety, trauma, depression and more....... Who am I? Can I get the old me back? Why don't they understand? Who’s there for me?
Life throws challenges, so we try and keep our heads above water, maybe blaming ourselves, or others, not knowing what to do with this mix of emotions or numbness. I’ll support you with difficult thoughts; Maybe sitting with what comes up for you, or exploring it, maybe learning to take one tiny step at a time. We’ll go at your pace, in your way, no pressure.
My journey into counselling has been driven by a deep passion for helping others navigate life’s complexities, in the way they need without any judgement.
Along with learning from my professional career and personal life experiences, I’ve also worked or trained for wonderful organisations such as; Mind (mental health charity), Sands (baby loss), Cruse (bereavement) and the Samaritans. I’ve previously volunteered as a school governor, befriender, volunteer counsellor and for community projects, hopefully illustrating some of my values.
To decide if I'm the right person for you, either drop me a note here and/or look at my website & we'll arrange a call.
Practice description
Reaching out for support can feel like failing, but its one of the bravest things you can do! I’m here to make that step as safe and comfortable as possible. Our relationship is key, so we’ll work in a way you are comfortable with, and I’ll adjust my style if needed, to keep your needs at the centre of all we do.
You may feel a mess of emotions, other times you may feel nothing, sometime you may want silence or to cry. All is ok, and normal (whatever that is!). We'll go at your pace and in a way that unlocks and unravels what needs attention.....
I'll provide you a safe space to unload, exploring what comes up, helping you piece things together, heal, grow and lighten your load. If you feel stuck & a not sure what to talk about, I can be creative in exploring what's going on for you. You'll be empowered, with insights and approaches to overcome obstacles, build resilience, to achieve a sense of balance and well-being.
I work online - select a safe, confidential space to sit comfortably. Make sure you can talk freely, not be overheard, and we’ll connect online. No extra travelling, and you're in an environment where you're comfortable!
To keep us both safe, I'm a fully qualified Counsellor and registered member of the ±«ÓãÊÓƵ(British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I abide by their ethical code of conduct, specifically regarding legislation, confidentiality and my professional development.

Its important you feel comfortable in the way we work together, and know I have the right skills to support you.

If you decide to go ahead, I'll go through a few details with you to capture.
During our first paid session, we'll review your information and agree how we work together before we then get started. I'll explain everything as we go along.
