About me and my therapy practice
I’m a BACP-registered and UKCP-accredited psychotherapist offering a depth-oriented, relational approach to counselling and psychotherapy. My practice integrates somatic, psychodynamic, and transpersonal perspectives, with particular attention to how our embodied experience shapes psychological and emotional life.
I work with people navigating a wide range of experiences—including trauma, neurodivergence, relationship challenges, and questions of identity, meaning, and belonging. Many of the individuals I work with are exploring areas such as LGBTQ+ identity, complex family dynamics, the impact of misogyny or systemic oppression, or the effects of burnout and overwhelm in an increasingly fast-paced world.
I also support those processing grief, climate anxiety, and the integration of experiences related to psychedelics or spiritual emergence. Whatever brings you, my intention is to meet you with depth, care, and spaciousness—allowing the full complexity of your experience to unfold in its own time.
Practice description
Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution; it’s a deeply personal process that honours the uniqueness of your experiences and inner world.
At the heart of effective therapy is a genuine, collaborative relationship, rooted in trust and emotional connection, and a shared commitment to your growth. As a psychotherapist, my role is to offer a compassionate and attuned space where we can explore the patterns, emotions, and unconscious processes that shape your life.
The pain we encounter often gives rise to protective strategies that once helped us feel safe.
These defences serve a purpose but over time they can distance us from our deeper feelings, needs, and sense of self, eventually showing up as anxiety, depression, relational struggles, disconnection, or a loss of direction.
These symptoms are not random; they carry meaning. They signal that something within you is asking to be met. Therapy provides a space to explore these signals with care, to uncover hidden or neglected parts of yourself, and to move toward a more integrated sense of wholeness. It’s not just about easing distress, it’s about making space for what wants to emerge from within.
My first session
I offer a no-obligation, free 20-minute consultation via Zoom to answer your questions and to help us both get a sense of what working together could be like. Please contact me by email for availability: hello@therapywithdaniel.co.uk.
If we then agree to proceed to a first session, this will be a space for you to begin sharing what brings you to therapy, ask any further questions, and get a feel for how I work. I’ll also be listening for what kind of support might be most helpful to you, and how we might approach our work together. There's no expectation to commit beyond that unless it feels right for you.
