About me and my therapy practice
There are many reasons that you may be considering counselling. Whether it is the lasting effects of past trauma, the strain of difficult relationships, or the confusion of not knowing who you truly are, you may feel misunderstood, devalued or isolated. You may experience painful feelings such as sadness, guilt, shame and anger, too overwhelming to cope with. If you are considering counselling then you are likely hoping to discover your true potential for happiness, understanding yourself with compassion and building healthier meaningful relationships with others.
Centred on your unique reality, you will decide what to discuss in each session. We will work together collaboratively towards alleviating your distress and working towards your goals. I am experienced in working with diversity and intersectionality and welcome you to bring your whole self to sessions free from judgement or assumption.
Taking your first step into counselling is a courageous move but can be understandably daunting. Please reach out to me with any questions you have to help you in your decision. Together we can work towards a future where you feel more at peace with your past, more connected in your relationships, and more certain of who you truly are.
Practice description
Initially, we will work together to explore your feelings and thoughts within the context of your unique reality. Collaboratively we will focus on what feels most important to you. You will begin to identify your aspirations and realise your goals. As sessions progress we will work reflectively, celebrating positive growth and reviewing your goals.
Through exploration, your greater self-awareness will encourage a clear sense of identity, grounded in the reality of your experiences. Through collaborative working, you will gain an appreciation of your strengths and recognise your self-worth. By experiencing your reality without judgement, you will become adaptable and realistic about outcomes.
Finding happiness, acceptance and belonging is a lifelong journey. As your counsellor I will accompany you on part of your journey with empathy, compassion and acceptance.

Practice description
My practice extends to navigating complex relationships and family dynamics, including addressing family estrangement, abuse, and other relational difficulties. With a strong focus on men’s mental health, I provide a safe and supportive space for men to explore their challenges through male-focused therapy.
I also offer couples counselling, helping partners strengthen their connection, resolve conflict and other relationship issues.
Based on my experience and study, I practice with an LGBT affirmative and trauma-informed approach.
I am experienced in working with ADHD and ASD in the therapeutic environment.
I understand the importance of creating a therapeutic environment where you can bring your whole self, embracing all aspects of your identity, including neurodivergence, sexual identity, and unique lived experiences.
