About me and my therapy practice
Welcome, I'm Laura. What can you expect from a counselling session with me?
I offer face to face and online therapy.
Firstly we work at establishing a therapeutic relationship. One that's healthy and trusting, allowing openness and honesty in the therapy room and creating a safe, nurturing, calm space to feel free to be you without judgment. Then, we can work through anything you feel you need to unpack and explore at a flow that feels right with you.
Weekly sessions are best, but I could possibly work with bi-weekly, depending on availability, to schedule this into my existing calender.
I can help you with any struggles in your life that prevent you from being your best version of yourself. I've lived and clinical experience in childhood trauma, neurodivergence, parenting therapy, bereavement, anxiety, Perimenopause, self-esteem and confidence issues as well as pet bereavement as for many of us our pets are a very big part of us and our lives ❤️
We are all unique and different, and for me that's the real beauty in every human being. I invite you to be YOU and have the freedom to explore YOU in a safe, warm and non-judgmental space together.
Practice description
I work face to face and from home online in my own tranquil, confidential and quiet office online. As we are all unique with a different set of circumstances, I deliver Humanistic Integrative therapy that fits your personal needs, goals and objectives using blends of different modalities tailored to you.
I do not give you answers...Humanistic therapy is all about me working with you to develop your own awareness in the here and now and finding your own way forward to healing and growth.
We explore together what is troubling you, in safety and in confidence.
My first session
In our first session, you can expect to create a verbal contract between us. This will include going over the contract I send to you before you schedule a first session to make sure you understand how we will work together and what you can expect, along with confidentiality and GDPR.
I like to make an assessment to help deliver therapy that is unique to you by asking a few questions about you to develop our therapeutic relationship and give me some insight into what you need from therapy.
You may see this first session as getting to know each other and getting a feel for me too:)
