About me and my therapy practice

I believe that change is possible, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.

My aim and role are not to tell you what to do with your life or what it is supposed to look like. I want to work collaboratively, helping you to discover and explore more of what feels true and meaningful to you, while finding a direction that feels aligned with who you are.

I believe this begins with creating an environment built on trust, honesty and unconditional support. From this space, I hope you can feel heard, seen and understood – giving you the chance to fully explore what is really going on and what you really want. But I also believe that meaningful change can involve challenge, discomfort and perseverance. Sometimes, moving forward means gently questioning the things we believe, exploring perspectives we may not have considered, or looking honestly at what might be holding us back.

I bring my own knowledge and experience to our work while recognising that you are the expert in your own life. Through thoughtful questions, exploration and honest conversation, I aim to help you develop greater insight and clarity, while giving you the freedom to decide what feels right for you.

My approach is collaborative and holistic, considering the different aspects of life that influence and shape our sense of self. I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach for everyone and finding the right fit in the therapeutic relationship is a part of the process.

There may be times when the work feels challenging, uncomfortable or unexpected, and there may be times when it feels freeing, clarifying or empowering. Whatever the process looks like for you, you won’t have to navigate it alone. If you are ready to understand yourself, explore what you really want and work towards meaningful change, I will be alongside you, supporting and challenging you as you find your way forward.

Qualifications

MSc Master’s Clinical Skills in Integrative Psychotherapy

Qualified in Integrative Counselling

BSc/Bachelor’s in Psychology

Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) Qualified

Therapeutic Training & Approach

My training is grounded in Integrative and Person-Centred approaches, with further training across a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, Psychodynamic Therapy.

I have also undertaken extensive trauma-informed training, which informs the way I understand and work with people who have experienced trauma and adversity.

As an Integrative Therapist, I draw from different therapeutic approaches and adapt my work to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. My clinical training allows me to bring different perspectives and therapeutic tools into our work while maintaining a collaborative and person-centred foundation.

I place significant importance on the therapeutic relationship and believe that trust, safety and honesty provide an important foundation for meaningful therapeutic work.

Professional Development

I am currently working towards accreditation with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), continuing my professional development alongside my clinical practice.

If you would like to know more about my qualifications, training or approach, I am happy to discuss this during a free initial consultation. This also gives us an opportunity to explore whether I may be the right fit for you.

My first session

If you would like to get in touch for a consultation I am more than happy for to provide more information or ask any questions that relate to how I operate within therapy. It is important that in a therapist-client relationship, you feel safe and heard therefore a consultation I think is necessary to see if we would be the right for one another.

I can offer a brief session at a discounted rate in order to establish if therapy and me as your therapist - feels right for you.
