About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome. I know that searching for a therapist can be overwhelming, so thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

You are invited into a calm, reflective and non-judgemental moment, whether outdoors in nature or online. A time where you can be curious about your thoughts, feelings, and connections, and take gentle steps towards healing and self-discovery.

At times our world can feel heavy and difficult to make sense of. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or a sense of disconnection from yourself. You might be finding it hard to manage emotions or relationships, or be living with the impact of life-changing events such as miscarriages, bereavement or domestic or sexual abuse. Together, we can begin to gently untangle these experiences, helping them feel more understood and supporting you towards a steadier sense of balance.

My approach is grounded by the restorative power of nature and an awareness of the mind-body connection. I am a fully qualified Humanistic counsellor rooted in Transactional Analysis (TA) and Person-Centred Therapy, working in a trauma-informed way. I work relationally with adults aged 18 and over, where together we notice and become curious about your emotional and bodily experiences, helping you connect with your inner resources and patterns.

At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change grows within a trusting relationship. We meet 1:1 outdoors, including walk-and-talk sessions, where the natural environment can support new perspectives, and provide a calm, compassionate space. We walk alongside one another as you explore your emotions, relationships, and life experiences, supporting the growth of self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion at a pace that feels right. Whether you are navigating a specific challenge or simply unsure of what you need, I offer a nurturing and grounded space to support you in moving towards clarity, insight, and wellbeing.

Practice description

Sessions are primarily held outdoors in the Royal Victoria Country Park, including walking therapy (sometimes referred to as eco-therapy or walk-and-talk therapy), which can support reflection, grounding and new perspectives.

At times, I may gently incorporate grounding or Tai Chi-informed movement into our sessions to support emotional regulation, breath awareness and connection with the body.

Although much of my work takes place outdoors, I recognise that nature-based sessions are not always possible. Online and telephone counselling offer a flexible alternative for those who are unable to meet outside, live at a distance or simply feel more comfortable connecting from home.

Where appropriate, we may still draw on nature, mindfulness or gentle grounding practices to support reflection and wellbeing, always in a way that feels comfortable and right for you.
