About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative psychotherapist which means I draw on different psychotherapeutic models and techniques to create a unique therapeutic experience to meet your needs. Please see my website for more detail about the modalities I work with as an integrative practitioner.
With warmth, depth, and cultural sensitivity, I provide a safe, reflective space – whether you’re facing change, seeking clarity, or simply ready to explore what matters most.
I also work as part of a multidisciplinary team offering ADHD Assessments. Please enquire for process/costs.
My private practice is based in London in Harley Street and Islington, with the option of online sessions. I can also make house visits for clients requiring high levels of privacy.

I believe we need to look to the past to find the core of what might be impacting you, while practically focussing on the present to develop new ways of being.
I am warm, open and empathic. My job is to keep you safe and help you resolve whatever is troubling you. I do not judge. I am also not afraid to challenge you when I am sure you are safe and if I feel it will help you.
I am an engaged and interactive psychotherapist. I welcome getting into the weeds to help you grapple with day-to-day issues, as well as help you to become more aware of and heal from any past or present trauma.
I do not lead, but make things easier by staying alongside you. I am non-defensive, ensuring we have regular check-ins so you can feedback how things are going.
I provide a safe, steady presence you can trust, so that together we can explore the issues that matter most to you so that life can improve in a foundational way.
While now based in London, I previously lived and worked across Europe, America, Asia, the Pacific, and the Middle East. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I was a diplomat and human rights lawyer, supporting people affected by trauma, including war, as well as working in business. These experiences shaped my deep respect for human resilience and diversity, and now ground my therapeutic practice.
Over my lifetime, I’ve worked with people from many cultures and walks of life, each with their own story of pain. These encounters have taught me to listen with empathy, honour difference, and meet each person as they are — qualities I bring into my work with you.

About me and my therapy practice
My style is warm, open and empathic. I am engaging and direct. My job is to keep you safe and be alongside you helping you resolve what is troubling you.
I am an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor working with adults. I work in private practice and in the NHS. I am accredited by the ±«ÓãÊÓÆµand comply with the ±«ÓãÊÓÆµand UKCP ethical guidelines.
My clients tell me that they feel safe and comfortable with me; able to tell me what is troubling them without feeling judged. That I'm not afraid to get into the weeds alongside them to help them gain perspective and heal. That I've helped them face and overcome past traumas as well as practically grapple with the day-to-day issues in front of them.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked around the world for the UN and British Government as a conflict adviser and human rights lawyer, helping people in countries affected by trauma, including war.
My depth of experience has led me to respect how different we all are and how we suffer pain uniquely. I bring these qualities into my work with you as your therapist, offering you respect and empathy.
I offer private sessions in the Harley Street District and in Islington, both in London, U.K.
While I prefer and encourage in-person sessions, I do offer on-line sessions for international clients or clients just preferring it. I also offer a limited amount of walking therapy sessions in Hampstead Heath in London, please enquire.
In addition to my traditional therapy practice I am a qualified mediator and facilitator.
Given my experience of conflict, human rights and justice systems across the world, I reserve a proportion of my practice for persons affected by these issues. This includes working with clients grappling with civil or criminal legal proceedings, especially divorce. I also work with persons navigating the impact of conflict or rights abuses/atrocity crime, whether that be primary or vicarious trauma.

Practice description
As a relational integrative therapist, I undertook extensive training in different psychotherapeutic modalities to allow me to work with you in different ways depending on your needs. I draw on these multiple models of psychotherapy during our sessions.
Psychotherapeutic modalities I draw upon:
• I am trauma-informed, including being able to use somatic interventions to ensure you are safe and move at a pace that works for you.
• I draw on humanistic and psychodynamic modalities to maintain trust between us and help you to explore and heal from your past.
• I use existentialism, especially phenomenological enquiry to help you reflect and get to know yourself better.
• I use attachment theory and neuroscience to help you better understand your attachment style and manage your emotions.
• If you are feeling stuck, I can help by experimenting in the here-and-now with Gestalt techniques or use Transactional Analysis to work with different parts of you.
• I use Compassion-Based CBT to help you develop new healthy behaviours, especially to strengthen capacity for self-compassion, resilience, and to empower you.

My first session
Research shows that one of the key determiners in whether therapy will help you is the psychotherapeutic relationship you have with your therapist.
If you like my profile please contact me. After making contact if you decide you would like to start therapy with me, I will invite you to a 50-minute assessment session.
This first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other better. I will want to know more about you and your history, about what brings you to therapy now and your goals. You will want to get sense of how I work, what it is like to be in a room and in conversation with me.
In this session I will also go over practicalities such as confidentiality and timekeeping. I will invite you to ask any questions you have about the process of therapy.
Studies show that just being able to tell your story to a trained therapist in an initial session can be healing. If we choose not to work together, I will want to help you however I can by signposting you to other services.
