About me and my therapy practice

Are you going through a big life change or feeling lost in a place that once felt familiar? Whether you are navigating a new country, the end of a relationship, past trauma, or a shift in your identity, you don't have to go through it alone. I am here to help you make sense of your emotions, reconnect with your inner strength, and build a life that feels more like your own.

I am a CBT Brazilian-born counsellor, based in the UK, and my path into this work has been deeply personal. I've lived through challenges and experiences that shape how I work: with compassion, cultural awareness, and deep respect for each person's unique story.

Practice description

I primarily integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Two evidence-based approaches that support both insight and meaningful change. Through CBT, we identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours that may be fuelling anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional pain. With ACT, we focus on building psychological flexibility, learning to accept what’s out of our control while committing to actions that align with your deepest values.

In practice, this means we’ll work on understanding how your mind, emotions, and behaviours are connected and how you can gently shift your relationship to negative thoughts. For immigrants or individuals living between cultures, therapy can also be a space to explore grief, resilience, and identity in a way that honours both past and present

My goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned with your values, so you can move forward with greater clarity and self trust, even in unfamiliar or uncertain environments.

I offer therapy in both English and Portuguese. As someone who understands the experiences of living between culture and languages, I hold space for your full story with respect, curiosity and care.
