About me and my therapy practice
I am a chatty and friendly counsellor; if you have seen stern-looking therapists nodding and not speaking on telly, that is not me! I am interested in you and will work hard to clarify and communicate with you so I can gain a greater understanding of what it is like to be you. I also can't fix or offer you advice but what I will do is suggest and encourage you to try things and consider different ways of communicating and caring for yourself. We can roll over problems and ideas together to consider them from all angles and I will sit in the rubbish and scary feelings with you so you aren't alone.
I work in a relational way which means I will work to earn your trust and keep it. Counselling works best when you trust and feel comfortable telling your counsellor the truth. I understand this is hard and will always honour the trust placed in me by clients.
I offer a free 20-minute initial consult before an assessment session so you can get to know me a little and see if I would suit you. If not, that's ok. Its more important you find someone you like and trust to work with. I am happy to make suggestions of colleagues to try instead.

Cancer can be a terrifying experience that can feel very lonely and confusing. I specialise in providing therapeutic accompaniment for people who are navigating the challenges of cancer treatment, adjusting to life in recovery or living with advanced cancer.
I understand the unique emotional washing machine that accompanies diagnosis, treatment, recovery or advanced cancer diagnosis.
Therapeutic counselling that puts you first:
