About me and my therapy practice
I didn't expect to be a therapist. I had dreamt of flying planes and spending the cool afternoons fishing by the Caribbean sea.
But here I am, walking side by wide with people whose main goal is to overcome burdening challenges which affect their quality of live. I have worked with cancer survivors through the Macmillan Cancer Support, one of the largest cancer charities in the world. And I recently launched the Mental Fitness Centre whose focus has been providing free support to persons and communities all across the world.
My capacity to offer therapy services and effectively communicate with my clients was nurtured through my university studies: M.A in Mental Health and Psychological Therapies, an M.Sc in Psychotherapy, an M.A in Diplomacy, and a Diploma in Conflict Resolution and Mediation.
Moreover, the communication skills needed to build a working therapeutic relationship and create an empathic space were honed during the 15 years I worked for the United Nations, and more than 5 years spent working for several media houses including the BBC.
