About me and my therapy practice
Therapy That Cares for the Carer.
Feel like you're holding everything together - but barely?
I'm Leanne Scriven, and I specialise in online therapy for carers who need space to breathe, reset, reconnect and find balance again.
As a carer, others often rely on you - but that doesn't mean you always feel okay. You're juggling care responsibilities, maybe a job too. You're exhausted, emotionally overloaded, and still pushing through.
Therapy is support for you, in the middle of all the giving.
Through Puradesa Therapy, I offer a space that’s compassionate, and practical—because caring is complex, and support should feel like an exhale, not another thing on your to-do list.
Many of the people I work with are juggling work, care responsibilities, and the emotional weight that comes with it all—often quietly burning out in the background. I help you pause, process, and make space for you, without guilt. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are—it’s about understanding the pressure you’re under and giving that some breathing room.
My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and always tailored to your pace. Having navigated the demands of caring roles personally, I deeply understand the pressures and rewards you’re facing. At Puradesa Therapy, my aim is simple: to help you carry the load of caring without losing yourself in the process.
Practice description
Many carers face challenges like constant stress, feeling unseen, struggling to set boundaries, and losing sight of their own wellbeing. That’s where my services come in.
I offer tailored support designed to help you:
- Manage carer stress and prevent burnout
- Navigate family conflicts and communication breakdowns
- Process grief, loss, and shifting roles
- Reclaim your sense of purpose and identity beyond caregiving
- Build practical strategies to balance work, care, and self-care
- Find clearer boundaries and regain control over your time and energy
All supported with ways to soften the pressure.
I use an Integrative Psychotherapy approach, drawing from different perspectives to help you:
Understand the relationships that shaped you, so you can see how past patterns influence your connections today.
Gain practical tools to manage thoughts and emotions, helping you build confidence and make lasting changes.
Feel truly heard and seen, because sometimes, having a space free of judgment is the first step to clarity.
Whatever stage you’re at in your caregiving journey, my approach focuses on real, lasting support that fits your life and helps you thrive—because therapy isn’t just about understanding yourself, it’s about making meaningful changes that fit your life as a carer.
My first session
Puradesa Therapy offers a free 15 minute discovery call to explore your current situation and to see if therapy feels like a good fit for you.
