About me and my therapy practice
Everyone is unique, and I believe counselling is for everyone. Sessions will be tailored based on your needs, a safe space to explore issues at your own pace. This can take place in a therapy room, in the comfort of your home online, or outside with walk and talk, nature therapy sessions.
I am a certified Integrative therapist, trained in a range of counselling styles. Some approaches I offer are; Person-Centred, CBT, Emotional Freedom technique, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Existentialism and Gestalt.
I specialise in Compassion Focused therapy, a therapeutic method which explores our 'Inner Critic' through gentle self-inquiry. This can include; self inquiry exercises, creative methods such as drawing, exploring embodiment through movement, and breath work. Cultivating awareness of our internal thoughts and beliefs through a lens of self-compassion can help with issues such as; anxiety, low self-esteem, addiction, PTSD and stress.
I also support individuals struggling with addiction. This can include substance misuse, compulsive behaviours and addiction to social media. My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental, and tailored to each person’s goals.
Practice description
My therapy room is based in N4 London. I offer short term counselling of 6 sessions and also long term therapy work.
As a qualified yoga teacher of over 15 years, I offer yoga therapy in a private studio, and can adapt this for online sessions. Yoga therapy is a process that empowers you to release and heal trauma and negative patterns. Sessions are carefully tailored around your body's specific needs.
As an avid wild swimmer and hiker, I believe nature is our biggest healer. I offer walk and talk and nature based therapy sessions.
I work with a range of ages, including children from age 8 years. I hold an additional Diploma in working with children and young people.
I welcome all cultural backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations and my practice is LGBTQIA +.
I further provide therapy for couples who are looking for support in their relationship.
My first session
I offer an initial free introductory call, a space for you to ask questions and see if my therapy practice feels right for you.
The first session will be an informal space to explore what brings you to therapy and any goals or expectations you may have.
Sessions are then at your own pace. My availability is flexible including evening and weekends.
