Practice description
A Safe Space to Understand Yourself and Move Forward
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. You may not know exactly what you need, but you may know that something needs to change. Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, stuck, or struggling with relationships or changes in your life. You don’t have to work through it alone.
I offer a warm, confidential, and non - judgemental space where you can talk openly about what you’re experiencing, without fear of criticism or being judged. My main aim in therapy is to make you feel genuinely heard, whilst being understood and supported, while giving you the time and space to explore what is happening beneath the surface.
Therapy tailored to you
There is no single approach that works for everyone. You are the expert in your own experience, and we will work together to understand what you need from therapy.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and informed by a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, attachment theory, and psychodynamic principles.
Depending on your needs, therapy may help you to:
Understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours more clearly
Recognise and change patterns that may be keeping you stuck
Develop healthier ways of coping with difficult emotions
Build self-esteem, confidence, and build more resilience
Improve relationships and understand relationship patterns
Process difficult or painful experiences
Manage anxiety, low mood, and stress
Navigate grief, loss, and significant life changes
Develop a greater sense of self-awareness and self-compassion
A therapeutic relationship built around you
I believe that feeling safe, respected, and understood is at the heart of effective therapy. Our sessions will be a space where you can be yourself, at your own pace, without pressure to have everything figured out.
My first session
Ready to take the first step?
If you feel that therapy could be helpful, I would be happy to hear from you. Get in touch to arrange an initial conversation and see whether working together feels right for you. If you do enjoy our first session and find it very helpful,
I can offer a discounted rate for the next three therapy sessions if paid in advance.
Whether you are facing a particular difficulty or simply feel that you have lost your sense of direction, therapy can provide an opportunity to pause, reflect, and begin to understand yourself in a different way.
You don't need to wait until things become unbearable before reaching out.
Taking that first step can be difficult, but you don't have to take the whole journey at once. We can start with simply talking about what has brought you here and what you hope might change.
