About me and my therapy practice
My extensive academic qualifications, including a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, MSc degrees in Clinical Psychiatry and Forensic Mental Health, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Sexology, combined with specialised training, have equipped me to work effectively across a wide spectrum of psychological issues. I offer therapy and conduct psychological assessments for a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, self-harm, stress, burnout and chronic pain, as well as relationship and sexual difficulties.
I follow a pluralistic therapy model that integrates CBT, EMDR, ACT, psychodynamic and humanistic approaches.
Practice description
Clients can expect a goal-focused, evidence-based, and collaborative approach tailored to their individual needs. Grounded in extensive academic and clinical training, I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to support clients in working toward meaningful and sustainable change. My practice emphasizes clarity, structure, and compassion, providing a safe and professional space where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and achieve their therapeutic goals with a sense of direction and purpose.
My first session
In the first session, I take time to listen carefully to each client’s concerns, personal history, and goals. I carry out an initial psychological assessment to develop a clear understanding of the presenting issues and their context. Based on this, I provide a clinical formulation and discuss how I propose we work together, including the therapeutic approach and initial goals. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, and I seek their agreement before proceeding, ensuring the process is collaborative and transparent.
The session also includes a discussion of practical aspects such as confidentiality, data protection, session frequency, and duration. My aim is to create a safe, respectful, and structured space where clients feel informed, supported, and ready to begin therapeutic work.
What I can help with
Abuse, Anxiety, Depression, Health related issues, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Sex-related issues, Trauma
Types of therapy
