About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel anxious but cannot quite explain why? Hello, I am Jacqueline. I am an integrative therapist based in the City of London, working with anxiety, grief, trauma, and identity. I help clients understand the roots of their anxiety, not just manage it, so that what changes goes deeper than the surface. That is a common and understandable place to start from, and we can explore it together at a pace that feels safe.

My approach draws on person centered, psychodynamic, transpersonal, and Jungian ideas, alongside trauma informed practice, supported by years of experience including work as an accredited counsellor with the RNIB, mentoring teenagers, and parent coaching.

Whatever your lived experience, you are welcome here. I am aware that my own position brings certain privileges, and I do not assume to fully understand every client's experience of race or culture. I aim to listen without judgement and make space for identity, culture, and difference to be spoken about openly, at whatever pace feels right for you.

I am a registered member of the BACP, fully insured, with data protection in place to safeguard your confidentiality. I offer a free initial conversation if you would like to see whether we are a good fit. If you are ready to understand yourself a little more deeply, I would love to hear from you.

Practice description

I believe that the relationship we build together as client and therapist is at the heart of meaningful change. In our work, you will find a safe, non judgemental space where you are truly heard, respected, and valued. Some of what troubles us sits outside our immediate awareness, and therapy offers a place to gently bring this into consciousness.

Through therapy, we can explore the impact of your earliest relationships and life experiences on your current challenges. I offer warmth, empathy, and deep support, helping you work through feelings of shame, self worth struggles, or past and present emotional wounds. I believe in your ability to grow and change, and I am here to walk alongside you on that journey.

Working With Anxiety

Anxiety rarely arrives alone. It often connects to early relationships, self worth, unprocessed emotion, or patterns we have not yet found words for. If you feel anxious but are not quite sure why, you are not alone, and there is nothing wrong with you for not knowing.

Together we gently explore what sits beneath your anxiety, not only how to manage it.  I can help you understand where these patterns began and how they may still be protecting you in ways that no longer serve you. Over time, many clients find that as they understand themselves more deeply, the anxiety itself begins to soften.

My first session

Your First Counselling Session

Starting therapy is a big step, and finding the right counsellor matters. In our first session, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy, your goals, and how we can work together, for you to share your concerns, ask questions, and get a feel for my approach as an integrative therapist. I’ll also carry out an assessment to tailor our work to your needs and goals.
