About me and my therapy practice
Are you looking for a safe, understanding space to make sense of how you're feeling?
Welcome — I’m Dr Hardy, a Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience working in adult mental health services across the NHS and private sector. I’ve also worked extensively with children, young people, families, and adults, which has given me a broad understanding of the challenges people face at different life stages.
You might be feeling overwhelmed, low, anxious, burnt out, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you — even if things look fine on the outside. Therapy can offer a calm, confidential space to pause, reflect, and begin to explore things in a way that feels safe and manageable.
Practice description
I bring a warm, compassionate, and thoughtful approach to my work. I’m an integrative psychologist, which means I draw from a range of evidence-based models, adapting my approach to suit your individual needs and goals. I work collaboratively, with curiosity and care, and see each person as the expert in their own life — not as a set of problems to be fixed.
I regularly support people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, identity questions, relationship difficulties, burnout, and life transitions. My practice is trauma-informed, culturally aware, and grounded in a deep respect for the diversity of human experience.
Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you’re returning after a break, I aim to create a space where you can feel seen, supported, and understood.
If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d be happy to arrange an initial conversation to explore how we might work together.
My first session
Fees
I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation to help you decide if I’m the right fit for you and to answer any questions before booking your first session.
Adults (18+): £110 for a 50-minute session
Sessions are tailored to support a wide range of emotional and psychological needs, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity exploration, and burnout.
Young People (12–17 years): £85 for a 40-minute session
These sessions offer a safe, age-appropriate space to support emotional well-being and resilience during adolescence.
Children (under 12): £70 for a 30-minute session
I use creative, playful, and developmentally sensitive approaches when working with younger children.
Concessionary spaces may be available for individuals on lower incomes or those facing specific life circumstances. Please don't hesitate to ask if this would support your access to therapy so that we can explore the available options.
Thank you for visiting my profile. If you feel I may be a good match for your needs, I’d be happy to hear from you.
Warm wishes,
Jade
