About me and my therapy practice

Originating from Hong Kong, I have over 30 years of professional work experience in human resources. In 2017, I graduated with a Master in Social Sciences (Counselling) at the University of Hong Kong, and I moved to the UK in November 2021. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, LGBT-related issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence, & career difficulties. I was volunteering as a counsellor in Hong Kong and I have worked with clients who struggled with family, relationship, LGBT-related, hearing-impairment, career development, depression and anxiety issues. My approach is to combine CBT, emotion-focused therapy and Bowen's Family System Theories in my practice.

Recently I have quitted my career in Human Resources and decided to focus on counselling work. Working in Human Resources, I felt I was caught between the company and the employee, and I was not able to provide the level of mental health support required by a lot of employees these days. Often times, they are urged to keep performing at work even though they struggle with various challenges in their personal lives. I strongly believe that without good mental health, it is rather difficult for people to perform at work. I look forward to providing my support to you and help you reflect, connect and grow.
