About me and my therapy practice
I'm a qualified relational counsellor, working predominantly with couples (but also individuals) with a particular interest in working within the LGBTQIA+ community. There's no judgement in our sessions, leaving you to explore what's really happening for you.
With relational work, we can look at matters such as communication patterns, conflict, boundaries, trust and infidelity, helping you to navigate those blocks within your relationships that are causing difficulties and maybe leaving you with a stuck feeling right now. We work with fostering deeper, more connected emotional bonds and create a safer space for emotional vulnerability and, therefore, a stronger, more connected and fulfilling relationship going forward.
We can explore those matters together in session, where I offer a relaxed, friendly space. You just bring you and I will bring me to our sessions and we can take it from there.
I’m a fully qualified counsellor for both individual and couples therapy. I have a FdSc degree in person-centred counselling, plus a NCIP accredited Certificate in Working with Couples but work integratively with my clients. I regularly attend further training to inform my way of working with clients. I'm also a registered member of the British Association for Psychotherapists and Counsellors (‘BACP’) and I adhere to their Ethical Framework in my practice.
I hold public liability insurance and an enhanced DBS check.
Practice description
I work in a relational manner in our sessions where we look at past and present relationships and together explore patterns of thinking and behaviours and how they have influenced your current situation. We consider different perspectives and work with creating more fulfilling, communicative relationships.
Please note that I work solely online on zoom (or telephone) with couples sessions lasting an hour, and individuals lasting 50 minutes.
My first session
So why not reach as I offer a free short initial zoom or telephone session to explore what brings you to therapy and what you're hoping to achieve from it. It's also a time to see if I'm the right match for you to work with.
I'll meet you there, human to human, to see if together we can help make things a little easier for you. You don't have to struggle on your own.
