About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each individual I work with. There is no one-size-fits-all model for healing, and I believe therapy should reflect the complexity and uniqueness of each person. My integrative way of working allows for flexibility, depth, and responsiveness in the therapeutic relationship.
At the heart of my practice is a focus on developing a strong, compassionate sense of self. I believe that many of our struggles stem from disconnection—from ourselves, from our emotions, and from our sense of worth. Together, we explore these aspects, gently untangling the knots of thought, feeling, and experience that may have become overwhelming or confusing.
Being human is not always comfortable. We carry stories, patterns, and pain that can feel tangled and hard to name. Therapy offers a safe and supportive space where those experiences can be unpacked and made sense of, without judgment. Sometimes we need help to slow down, breathe, and listen to what our internal world is trying to tell us.
I often integrate mindfulness, breath work, and body awareness into my sessions. These tools help us soothe the nervous system and make space for clarity. The body holds wisdom—and sometimes confusion. When we learn to recognise and listen to our body's signals, we begin to understand ourselves on a deeper level.
I work honestly and, when needed, with gentle directness. I believe in the power of curiosity—inviting clients to explore their thoughts and emotional patterns without shame. Curiosity opens doors where criticism closes them.
I love what I do. It’s a privilege to walk alongside others as they unpick what feels stuck or unreachable. If you're finding it difficult to make sense of things on your own, you don’t have to. Therapy can be the beginning of coming home to yourself.
Practice description
My practice is a space for reflection, honesty, and emotional growth. I offer weekly one-to-one sessions where you can slow down, take stock, and begin to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or caught in familiar patterns, our work together can help you find greater understanding and ease.
As an integrative therapist, I adapt my approach to suit you. This means we might explore your past, your present experiences, or how your thoughts, feelings, and body are reacting in the moment. I often incorporate mindfulness, body awareness, and breath work to support emotional regulation and deepen your connection to yourself.
Our sessions can include noticing how the body responds to stress or emotion, learning how to self-soothe, and bringing curiosity to the beliefs or behaviours that may be keeping you stuck. Sometimes we just need the right conditions—safety, time, and attention—to begin to make sense of our inner world.
I aim to create a relational space where you feel seen and heard. I’m not a passive listener—I’ll be engaged, honest, and at times gently challenging. I believe therapy works best when it’s a collaboration, grounded in trust and openness.
Clients often come to me when they’re not sure what they need—only that something isn’t working. You don’t need to have the words or a clear goal to start. Therapy can help you make sense of what’s difficult to name, and begin to move toward a more connected and empowered sense of self
My first session
Before we begin working together, I offer a free 30-minute telephone call. This is a chance for us to get a sense of one another and explore whether it feels like a good fit. You can share a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you might have, and I’ll explain how I work. There’s no pressure or commitment—just space to connect and reflect on whether this feels like the right starting point for you.
If we decide to move forward, our first full session is a gentle introduction to the work. It’s a space for you to speak freely about what you’re experiencing, at your own pace. We’ll begin to get a sense of what you might need from therapy, while laying the foundations of a safe, collaborative relationship.
There’s no expectation for you to have all the answers or to present things in a particular way. This is a space for you to arrive exactly as you are. I’ll be there to listen, to ask thoughtful questions, and to begin building a therapeutic connection that feels grounded and supportive.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step—but you don’t have to do it alone or have it all figured out. The initial call and first session are there to help you ease in, feel heard, and decide whether this space feels right for your journey.
