About me and my therapy practice
I’m a registered Integrative Counsellor and Trauma-Informed Practitioner with over six years’ experience supporting children, teens, and adults. My approach draws on person-centred values, creative methods, and systemic insight—tailored to each individual.
I offer talk therapy and expressive approaches including art, play, and metaphor to help clients explore experiences when words are hard to find. Therapy with children is playful and emotionally attuned, helping them feel safe, understood, and confident in expressing themselves. Many begin to feel lighter, more settled, and better able to make sense of big emotions—often describing our sessions as a calm space where they feel truly listened to.
I also support neurodivergent clients, adapting my approach to meet sensory needs, communication preferences, and emotional regulation challenges with flexibility and care.
Clients often describe me as warm, steady, and empowering. Sessions are available face-to-face for children, and online (via video or telephone) for teens and adults. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, neurodivergence, or emotional overwhelm, you’ll find a safe, compassionate space to be heard and supported.
Practice description
How I Work Therapy with me is a relational and creative process, grounded in trust, psychological safety, and genuine connection. I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel accepted, supported, and free to explore what’s weighing on you—without pressure or judgment.
I work responsively, adapting to your pace and way of making meaning. Sessions may include reflection, gentle challenge, creativity, and shared insight. I integrate talk therapy with expressive tools such as metaphor, symbolism, and art—especially when words feel stuck or emotion needs space to breathe. You don’t need to have all the answers or “perform” therapy; together, we make sense of what’s unfolding.
A strong, trusting therapeutic relationship sits at the heart of our work. It’s the foundation for healing, clarity, and lasting emotional resilience. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, neurodivergence, or relational stress, our work is collaborative and rooted in curiosity, growth, and self-connection.
I offer both online (video or telephone) and face-to-face sessions, with flexible appointment times to fit your life. Therapy is available face-to-face for children, and online or face-to-face for teens and adults. With children, sessions are creative and playful, helping them feel safe, heard, and able to explore big emotions in ways that suit their developmental needs. Many describe therapy as a space where they feel calmer, more confident, and better able to make sense of their world.
Empowering minds to shine through compassionate, creative therapy.
My first session
First Session The first session is a gentle starting point. It’s a chance for you to share what’s brought you to therapy, ask questions, and see if it feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure to open up straight away—it’s about beginning to build trust, comfort, and emotional safety.
Before we meet, I may offer a short form and reflection questions to help understand your background, current struggles, and what’s already helping. These are simply a guide for our work together and are revisited now and then to check in on how things are going.
For children and teens, I include time with both the young person and their parent or carer. This helps me understand their world, build connection, and gently explore any worries or strengths. Regular check-ins with you are part of how we stay connected and make sure everyone feels supported as therapy progresses.
While the first session is charged at the usual rate, I do offer a free, informal referral call if you’d like to talk before deciding to book.
