About me and my therapy practice

I am an award-winning Integrative Counsellor with over 30 years’ experience in client-focused roles, including frontline health and emotional care. I was honoured to receive a BOSCA Award for Outstanding Clinical Care during my time at Macmillan and have continued to build a reputation for providing warm, respectful, and safe spaces for people to explore their inner world.

In individual therapy, I work integratively drawing from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also bring in mindfulness and psychoeducational tools where helpful. IFS has become a central part of my work with individuals it allows us to explore the ‘parts’ of ourselves that might feel stuck, anxious, critical, or overwhelmed, and connect with the calm, compassionate core of who we are. I’ve seen how empowering it can be to understand yourself in this way, especially when working through trauma or identity challenges.

I specialise in supporting those recovering from narcissistic abuse and the deep impact it can have on your self-worth, boundaries, and emotional regulation. I also work with grief, anxiety, relational trauma, neurodivergence, and low self-esteem. Whether you're struggling with something specific or just have a sense that something needs to change, I offer a gentle, grounded space for healing and reflection.

About me and my therapy practice

As a Couples Therapist, I support partners to rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and explore the emotional dynamics that shape their relationship. My approach is integrative and relational, drawing from a variety of therapeutic models including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I also incorporate practical psychoeducational tools to help each person better understand themselves and their partner.

I create a supportive and emotionally safe space, while also being strong and willing to gently challenge when needed. Sometimes couples need to be held through difficult emotions; other times, they need help seeing patterns more clearly or facing difficult truths together. I work with care and directness, always with the aim of supporting growth and reconnection.

IFS can be especially powerful in couples therapy. It helps each partner explore the different ‘parts’ of themselves that show up in the relationship such as the part that feels rejected, the part that tries to protect, or the part that becomes critical or avoidant. By learning to understand and speak from these parts, rather than letting them take over, couples begin to communicate from a more grounded, compassionate place. This creates space for new patterns to emerge and deeper connection to form.

I have experience working with a wide range of relationship configurations and identities, including same-sex couples, trans and non-binary partners, and polyamorous or non-monogamous relationships. I offer an inclusive, affirming space where all relationships are respected, and all emotions are welcome.

Whether you're facing communication breakdowns, intimacy difficulties, the impact of trauma, or navigating neurodiversity within your relationship, I support couples in exploring what’s beneath the surface and finding ways forward that feel authentic and sustainable.

About me and my therapy practice

As a qualified and experienced Clinical Supervisor, I offer reflective, relational supervision to both trainee and experienced practitioners. My approach is collaborative and grounded in curiosity, integrity, and mutual respect. I see supervision as a space to think deeply about our client work, to process what we carry as therapists, and to grow with confidence and ethical clarity.

My integrative framework includes Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I support therapists in understanding the multiple layers of the work clinical process, parallel dynamics, ethical decision-making, and self-care. I have particular experience in areas such as working with trauma, neurodivergence, narcissistic abuse, and the complex relational fields these bring into the therapy room.

I was fortunate early in my career to experience extensive and meaningful supervision both in groups and one-to-one with a supervisor who was renowned for her research in the field. This had a profound impact on my development and shaped my own values as a supervisor. It taught me that supervision can be not just a place of accountability, but a rich, empowering relationship that inspires confidence and depth in our clinical work. I aim to offer the same: a space that supports, challenges, and stretches you in ways that are both safe and expansive.
