About me and my therapy practice

Hello and Welcome to my profile I鈥檓 Sara and I run a private practice in Wateringbury in Kent. I am a warm and caring therapist offering you safe, confidential and non-judgmental Counselling and emotional support. I work with adult individuals and Couples.  I am a qualified Advanced Psychotherapeutic counsellor and Couples therapist.  My training is also very person-centred but integrated in that I'm trained in different modalities which I can draw upon depending on what issues you are facing. I genuinely care about my clients and treat each person as an individual and never impose a 鈥渙ne treatment fits all鈥 approach. I treat everyone who comes to me in the utmost confidence. With trust, empathy and gentle understanding, my aim is to help you release and work out the issues, which are affecting your health, your relationships, your work and your quality of life. You are a unique individual and my commitment is to listen to your challenges, however big or small, and then treat accordingly drawing on my skills and experiences to help you. Counselling gives you the chance to find and explore yourself your problem and get support with an experienced therapist. It鈥檚 ideally suited for someone who wants to understand both themselves and the issues that most affect them in a safe, supportive and healing confidential environment. When we have this space to explore ourselves and we feel understood and heard we can then begin to make sense of our problems and past, and within this process we can begin to heal. Counselling will help you gain your self esteem and confidence, when in times of difficulty we often find we feel so alone and unconfident in making decisions and choices. When we become so stressed about our problems and what way to turn we often begin to doubt ourselves.

My first session

Coming to individual or couples therapy can feel like a big step, especially if things have felt stuck, tense, or painful between you for some time. At Wateringbury Counselling Practice, couples therapy isn鈥檛 about assigning blame or deciding who鈥檚 鈥渞ight鈥 鈥 it鈥檚 about creating a safe and supportive space where both of you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you work through the challenges in your relationship.

In our sessions together, you can expect:

鈥 A calm, non-judgemental environment where both individuls or couples are given equal time and attention

鈥 Guided conversations that help uncover what鈥檚 beneath the surface of conflict, silence, or emotional distance

鈥 Tools and strategies to improve communication, rebuild trust, and manage conflict more constructively

鈥 Deeper insight into the emotional patterns, unmet needs, and past wounds that may be impacting your current connection

鈥 Support for reconnecting, emotionally and physically, and navigating difficult conversations with care and compassion

You don鈥檛 need to have all the answers or know exactly where to start, just a willingness to be open to the process. My role is to guide you gently, hold space for each of you, and help you build new ways of relating that feel more secure, respectful, and connected and your relationship is healthy.
