About me and my therapy practice

Therapy for Burnout, Relationship Issues and Life Transitions in Bristol and Online

I work with clients who feel strung out, lost and depressed. People who feel dissatisfied with their lives but aren't necessarily sure why.

You may be intelligent and reflective but sometimes it is only by collaborating with someone else that we can understand what is really going on.

Practice description

People often come to therapy because they are carrying questions that don’t have straightforward answers.

You might be wondering:

Why do I feel anxious when everything seems fine on paper?

Why do my relationships feel so full of drama?

What do I actually want from my career, relationships or future?

Why does success not feel the way I thought it would?

How do I stop living according to other people’s expectations and identify what I really want and need?

These conversations can feel vulnerable, particularly if you’ve spent much of your life being the responsible one, the achiever, or the person others rely on. But I can help you become more comfortable exploring these themes so you can figure out what’s really going on.

While therapy generally helps reduce anxiety, low mood and feelings of overwhelm, the deeper value of the work is discovering your true and individual identity and beginning to live in line with it.

Over time, many clients begin to feel more connected to themselves. They become better able to recognise what they feel, what they need and what they want. They develop greater confidence in their own judgement and less reliance on old expectations, external approval or inherited ideas about what their life should look like.

The goal isn’t to become a different person. It’s to build a life that feels more honest and therefore more rewarding and worthwhile. A life shaped not only by what makes sense on paper, but by what genuinely matters to you.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to handling things on your own.

You don’t need to arrive with a clear explanation of what’s wrong or a neatly defined goal. It’s enough to simply have recognised that something feels off.

If you’d like to chat some more click below to book a free 15 minute phone call to see whether working together feels like the right fit.
