About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified, Edinburgh-based therapist with over a decade of experience working in mental health. I've worked with a wide range of people across services supporting adults experiencing mental health difficulties, relationship difficulties and bereavement.
My training is grounded in a relational, integrative approach - drawing on psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives - and I continue to evolve my practice through ongoing professional development. I bring warmth, openness, and a touch of humour to my work, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know people from all walks of life.
Practice description
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious or at a crossroads in life. Perhaps you're struggling with your relationships, your identity, or adjusting to life in a new culture. I offer and compassionate, inclusive space where you can feel safe to speak openly and explore what's going on for you. I welcome clients of all identities and backgrounds and have a particular interest in working with those living outside their culture of origin, drawing on my own experience of living abroad.
Together, we'll explore how things have been for you and why. My approach is conversational and collaborative, offering space for reflection, insight and challenge. Sometimes, simply being understood and understanding yourself is healing. At other times we may work more creatively or focus on building strategies for change.
My goal is to help you feel supported and empowered as you make those changes for yourself that help you to feel better.
My first session
In our first session, I'll invite you to share your story and what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to get from it. I'll listen carefully and without judgement. We'll explore what working together might look like and whether it feels like a good fit. If we decide not to continue, there will be no charge for this session - so you can try therapy with me "risk-free."
Feel free to reach out or visit my website for more information. I'll look forward to hearing from you.
