About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about your next steps? I’m here to support you with understanding, respect, and practical guidance as you navigate these challenges.
I’m a BACP-accredited counsellor with over 20 years’ experience, including 16 years specialising in addiction and relapse prevention, trained in Terence Gorski’s model. I’m also an approved CPCAB Level 6 counselling tutor, which keeps me connected to the latest developments in the field.
Using Clarkson’s Integrative Model, I combine approaches such as humanistic, psychodynamic, existential, and solution-focused therapies to create a personalised experience tailored to your unique needs and preferences.
Our work together will take place in a safe, confidential space where you can express yourself openly, without judgment. I will support you at a pace that feels right for you, helping you develop new strategies to manage stress, build confidence, and find greater peace in your life.
I offer flexible online sessions, typically weekly or fortnightly, with an initial 15-minute free consultation so you can ask questions and see if we’re a good fit.
If you’re ready to take the next step, please get in touch by email, phone, or text. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
Practice description
I offer integrative online counselling tailored to your individual needs, drawing on over 20 years’ experience, including 16 years specialising in addiction and relapse prevention. My training in Clarkson’s Integrative Model allows me to combine approaches like Humanistic, Existential, Psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy, adapting our work to what feels right for you.
My priority is to create a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Therapy can be a courageous step, and I’m here to support you at your own pace, whether you want short-term focused work or longer-term support.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is central to healing, so I aim to build a warm and trusting connection that helps you feel understood and empowered. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addiction, or life transitions, together we will work towards positive change and growth.
Sessions last 60 minutes and take place online for your convenience. We typically meet weekly or fortnightly, and I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
If you’re looking for a compassionate, experienced therapist to support you in making lasting change, please get in touch.
My first session
Taking the first step into therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. I offer an initial 15-minute free consultation to make this easier for you. You can reach out by email, phone, or text—sharing as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
During this brief consultation, my goal is to get to know you better and understand what has brought you to therapy. This helps us both decide if I’m the right counsellor to support you.
We will also discuss what you hope to achieve through therapy, including how long it might take to reach your goals. This is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions about how I work, and for us to explore the therapeutic approach that will best suit your needs.
Following this consultation, if you decide to proceed, we can arrange your first full session. I will ask you to complete a simple assessment form before that session to better understand your history and current concerns, ensuring our work together is as helpful and focused as possible.
My aim is to provide a safe, supportive start to your therapeutic journey, at a pace that feels right for you.

Practice description
.
As a clinical supervisor, I believe that you, as the practitioner, hold the deepest understanding of your work and your clients. Together, we create a safe and confidential space where your well-being and your clients’ safety are paramount.
In supervision, you will feel genuinely supported and respected. Your theoretical orientation will be honoured, and you will have the freedom to express your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This collaborative environment fosters your professional growth and self-awareness.
We will explore your clinical work with reflective consideration, drawing on established models such as Inskipp and Proctor’s Normative, Formative, and Restorative Supervision framework, alongside the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision. These approaches enable us to examine your work from multiple perspectives—your own experience, your client’s needs, the therapeutic relationship, and the broader context.
I aim to help you navigate challenges, deepen your understanding, and sustain your motivation and resilience as a therapist. Supervision with me is flexible and tailored to your unique needs, whether you are a trainee or an experienced counsellor.
Together, we will ensure your supervision is a valuable, enriching part of your ongoing professional journey
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation, giving you the opportunity to connect with me and discuss your supervision needs without any commitment. This initial conversation is a chance for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work, helping you decide if I’m the right supervisor for you.
Following this, the first full session includes an initial assessment where we discuss and agree on a clear therapeutic contract. This contract covers confidentiality, boundaries, and expectations, ensuring our supervision aligns with BACP’s ethical framework and supports your professional development.
I have experience supervising a wide range of practitioners—from trainees just starting their journey to experienced counsellors and specialists in addiction and relapse prevention. Whether you seek to deepen your clinical skills, navigate complex cases, or reflect on professional challenges, I tailor supervision to your unique needs.
Together, we will establish a supportive and trusting relationship where you can explore your practice openly and safely. My approach is flexible, offering sessions online or in-person, scheduled at times that suit your availability.
Supervision with me aims to help you gain new insights, enhance your professional confidence, and sustain your wellbeing as a therapist. If you’re ready to take the next step in your professional journey, please get in touch

Practice description
I am an approved CPCAB Level 6 Counselling Tutor with over eight years of experience delivering Level 4 counselling courses and now qualified to teach advanced Level 6 programmes. My extensive background in counselling, including specialism in addiction and relapse prevention, enriches my teaching with practical insight and depth.
My teaching approach is student-centred, warm, and supportive, fostering a safe space where learners can deepen their theoretical understanding, refine their therapeutic skills, and develop their professional identity. I integrate experiential learning with reflective practice to prepare students for the complexities of counselling work.
I am committed to helping students meet CPCAB standards while encouraging ethical awareness, self-care, and ongoing professional development. I collaborate closely with colleges and training providers to deliver high-quality, engaging, and effective Level 6 training.
If your institution is seeking a knowledgeable and empathetic Level 6 counselling tutor who can inspire and equip the next generation of therapists, I would be delighted to discuss how I can contribute to your team.
My first session
When beginning a new training group or individual tutoring, I prioritise creating a welcoming and supportive environment where learners feel comfortable to engage and explore counselling skills.
The first session typically involves introductions and an overview of the course structure, learning objectives, and expectations. I encourage open dialogue about individual goals and any concerns learners might have, helping tailor the training to best meet their needs.
For new students, I often ask them to complete a brief initial self-assessment or reflective exercise. This helps me understand their current knowledge, strengths, and areas for development, allowing me to personalise my teaching approach and provide relevant feedback throughout the course.
I explain the importance of confidentiality, professional ethics, and the safe learning space we will build together. This foundation supports a positive and respectful learning atmosphere from the start.
While I do not offer a different rate for the first session, I make sure it is a valuable and informative experience that sets clear expectations and builds trust.
Whether working with groups or individual trainees, my goal in the first session is to establish a strong connection and set the tone for a productive and engaging learning journey
