About me and my therapy practice

Supervision with me is collaborative and reflective, helping you deepen insight while supporting confident, ethical, and effective clinical practice.

What's important to me is getting to know you, your practice, your therapy learning style and approach, whilst building trust and connection so you feel supported enough to be honest and strong enough to sustain ethical, resilient work with your clients. I work with trainee and experienced counsellors and psychotherapists who want to deepen self-awareness, strengthen clinical confidence, and feel supported in their development.

My approach is person-centred and integrative, combining collaboration and constructive challenge where together, we can explore client work, ethical questions, relational dynamics, and the personal impact of practice in a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental way.

Practice description

I have been a therapist for over 16 years, where the core of my practice for many years was in bereavement and trauma. In more recent years, within my own private practice, my work has expanded to include supporting people experiencing anxiety, low mood, family conflict, relationship difficulties, depression, ADHD and self-esteem challenges. I am also a trained EMDR therapist, helping people to heal by processing distressing memories from difficult life experiences.

Supervision can help you care for yourself, reflect on your work, and grow with confidence. If you are looking for a supervisor who values authenticity, openness, and your development as both a therapist and a person, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch to arrange a relaxed, no-obligation conversation to see how we might work together.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation

This can be a good starting point for us both, a chance for you to bring up any questions you have about supervision, you may wish to ask more about my experience as a supervisor or therapist or discuss your own learning style or any support needs you may have in making sure we are a good fit.

My Supervision fee is £60 per 1.5 hours

I look forward to hearing from you.

About me and my therapy practice

Is your mind racing with anxious thoughts, self doubt or endless 'what ifs'? Does the pressure to keep going feel exhausting leaving you feeling emotionally drained and disconnected.

I'm Paula and I can help if anxiety or stress has been making everyday life feel harder, maybe you don’t feel as confident as you used to and you find yourself overthinking things. Together, we can gently make sense of what is happening and find practical ways to help you feel calmer and more grounded.

If you are feeling low, struggling with motivation, or carrying the weight of loss or bereavement, you do not have to have everything worked out before reaching out we can start with where you are and look for small, realistic steps towards feeling more hopeful again.

If ADHD-related challenges are affecting you, or you often feel overwhelmed or misunderstood, we can explore this together, taking a look at focus, organisation, emotions, and day-to-day pressure in a way that respects how your mind works and help you find what feels more manageable for you.

Relationships can be really difficult when there are patterns that feel painful, confusing, or hard to change. I can support you in understanding what is happening, communicating more clearly, setting boundaries that feel healthy, and building connections that feel safer and more balanced.

Practice description

I have been a therapist for 16 years, in charitable organisations and my own private practice, I bring a person-centred approach with an integrative style of working and what that means for you is, I draw on different therapeutic methods to suit your therapy needs.

I am an EMDR therapist, which stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that can support you in processing difficult memories, painful experiences, or trauma that may still feel very present. Together, we work in a safe and steady way to reduce the emotional intensity of these experiences, without you needing to relive them in detail, so they can begin to feel less overwhelming and have less impact on your everyday life.

Clients often tell me they feel safe, supported and understood in our sessions. You can come as you are, and we can work through things together one step at a time.

Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you are used to coping on your own, but you deserve support and clarity.

If this resonates with you, you are welcome to get in touch by email, phone or text using the details above. Leave your name and contact details and I will get back to you as soon as I can. We can start with a conversation and see if it feels like the right fit.

I offer therapy on line via video platform, face to face or on the phone.

My in-person sessions happen in a lovely, welcoming office on Rodney Street (L1). There are just 3 steps up into the building, and once inside, you'll find a comfortable and private space where I hope you'll feel at ease, therapy being just for you, somewhere you can be yourself.

My first session

If you would like to know more,

I offer a 20 minute no obligation telephone call, this is often a good starting point to ask any questions and share what you are hoping for, or simply talk through any expectations you have.  During our call I can tell you a little about me and my therapy approach, what you can expect from your 1st session so you can feel comfortable in making the decision that feels right for you.

You may wish to share what has prompted you you to reach out and discuss any hopes or goals you have, even if you are feeling unsure of what you may need or why you are here right now that is ok too.

The most important thing is that you have taken the first step towards making positive change for yourself and we can work to explore the rest together.

Individual Therapy £60 per session

Sessions typically take place on a weekly or fortnightly basis, though can be adjusted to meet your needs and preferences.
